Macey went home straight after talking to Chin. Muntik na siyang mainggit nang sunduin ito ni Dr. Darcy pero syempre, dahil sanay na siya ay kinilig na lang siya. She bid them goodbye, and it was a good thing that Nami is already awake. Ibinalik nito ang trench coat niya, bago muling nagtrabaho sa kusina.

"Nami." She called before leaving. Inihatid siya ni Nami hanggang entrance, at nagpa-uwi pa ng ilang pagkain, para kay Candace, at dahil sinundo ni Trisha si Chloe ay may pauwi sa kaniyang mga gamit, at ilang pagkain para sa anak.

Humigpit ang hawak ni Macey sa paper bag na ibinigay sa kaniya ni Nami. She studied her friend. Sa tinagal, ngayon niya lang napansin ang pagbabago ni kaibigan nang husto. She's like a fallen star, dead and has no sparks at all, but grim. Agony that was being masked off by make-ups, and other stuffs, needed for work.

"Hmm?" Hindi niya naramdaman na iniiwasan siya ni Nami, o nagalit kailan man. Pareho sila. Biktima. But what she noticed is Nami became distant... if she's being too observant for that.

"Love you." She whispered at her friend.

She won't ask if Nami is okay. Alam na niya ang sagot. Sa puntong ito, asking if she's okay, or not is out of the question. That would be the most insensitive question that would come out of someone's mouth, if possible.

Ang tanging magagawa niya lang ay ang iparamdam sa kaibigan na nasa paligid siya. A simple affection, a simple concern out of action would matter. A simple indication that she's just right behind Nami. Sa kahit alin man, ang iniisip niya na lang ay sa kabila ng lahat, kapatid niya si Clodoveo.

They're sharing the same bloodline, and out of all, she's still proud that despite of how evil her brother is, at some point, her brother became a better version of himself ever since he fell for Nami. Saksi siya roon, hanggang dulo.

Nami just smiled at her, not saying anything but squeezed her arm lightly. Nami's hands were cold, and sweating. Hindi niya alam kung para sa isang chef ay normal iyon. Ilang beses siyang na-make-up-an ni Nami, and as far as she remembers, Nami's hands are not like this.

"Uwi ka na..." Nami urged.

"Si...kuya..." she tried her hardest to steady herself just by the mention of her brother. It was too sensitive, but she promised herself ever since she agreed to Kai that she would let these open wounds hurt her once again, until it heals the way it has to be.

"Macey." Lumalim ang paghinga ni Nami. With that simple word, Nami...cried. She's in the verge of tears as if it just happened yesterday.

Sa lahat, ito ang pinagsisihan niya. If she didn't go to their quarters that night, maybe, her brother is still alive. Maybe, Jaxon doesn't have to pull the trigger. Maybe, Nami isn't like this. Maybe, her brother found a better reason to change completely as he's becoming a father.

Hinding-hindi mapapatawad ang kapatid, pero hahayaan niya si Nami na magkapamilya kasama ang kapatid. She will let Chloe have a father. Clodoveo and Macey never had a complete family. Ang kapatid, magkakaroon sana, kung hindi lang siya nagpadala sa galit niya.

"D-do you know where he's...buried?" she asked.

Umiwas ng tingin si Nami bago umiling. Hirap na hirap sa bawat salitang bibitawan. "Arrow didn't want me to see... and he said, it's only a burnt corpse, with his phone beside him. Iyon lang ang...nakita."
