"Just what the hell are you doing here?"

There's an evident irritation beneath Jaxon's voice as he said it. Humigpit ang hawak nito sa kamay niya habang pasimple siyang nagtago sa likod ni Jaxon. She hangs her head low, and can't make an eye contact. She's not sure is she's comfortable or not, or just plainly nervous. Or embarrassed.

They just got here, somewhere in La Union. Still in the living room of a minimalist beach manor. Hindi pa naigagala ni Macey ang tingin sa paligid gawa ng dalawang taong nasa harapan nila. But all she can see is simplicity, neatness, and whiteness. Idagdag pa na mas lalong nagliwanag ang paligid dala ng sinag ng araw na tumagos papasok sa loob ng bahay.

Dala pa ni Jaxon ang isang maleta na may personal na gamit nilang dalawa. Kakapasok pa lang sa mansion pero heto, may mag-asawang bumungad sa kanila at mukhang tuwang-tuwa pa.

She... for some random thought years ago, has been wanting this to happen. Hindi niya alam na mangyayari pa pala 'yon, at nang ganito kaaga. It happened years ago, but it wasn't a good one. Though now, she's not sure. Jaxon is pissed and being rude at the same time.

"You're being rude, mi hijo." It was Jaxon's mother. Katabi nito ang asawa. He exactly looked like Jaxon but the only difference is, he's already at age, and Jaxon is on the way.

Nang sumilip si Macey sa kaharap ay yumuko siya ulit nang magtama ang paningin nila ng mommy ni Jaxon.

Jaxon's parents are in front of them.

Para siyang tumingin sa itim na mata ni Jaxon sa ginawa. They didn't expect them to be here. Jaxon said to her that they will be alone in their stay for the meantime, away from Manila, and away from her friends but it seems that they won't be alone.

"Since when did you get here?" Iritado pa rin ang binata. "Go home, mama, papa."

"Jax." Inawat na niya ito. She's not against regarding their stay here. Baka lang nagkasabay sila ng plano na magbakasyon sa bahay na ito. He doesn't need to be this rude, especially to his parents that seems to meant no harm.

That's what she wanted to think.

"Mayabang ka." It was Jaxon's father. Edward Skyler. His voice isn't serious. Para pa ngang nang-aasar para lalong mainis ang anak.

Napakamot sa tungki ng ilong si Jaxon at nilingon siya sandali. Hindi siya makatingin sa mga magulang ni Jaxon. Aside from she's meeting Jaxon's parents, she's also meeting her parents' greatest enemy. One of her brother, and father did wrong over the years. She can't look at them in the eyes, and be proud.

That would be shameless.

Being with Jaxon is already shameful... and a taboo. Bonus na lang siguro na ang mga magulang ni Bryson ay hindi galit sa kaniya dahil lumaki siya kasama ang mga ito. Nonetheless, when she found out thr truth, she can't be as carefree as before when she doesn't know who's Bryson.

Ngayon, mas nahihiya siya.

Jaxon fell in love with her knowing the fact of who she is. Hindi na rin panigurado lingid sa kaalaman ng mga magulang ng binata kung sino talaga siya.

Hindi niya alam kung saan siya liliko. Her friends don't like Jaxon for what he did. It led her to hurting people she doesn't want. She prolonged her pain, and ignored herself because of it. Ngayon naman, na-realize niya... at ngayon lang din bumalik sa isip niya. She's the daughter of their greatest enemy.
