"I'm so glad your alive. You remember I sent you a letter telling you to run? you did get it didn't you?"
"Yes, I tried to run but they caught me" I whispered
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry........ So my father took my phone away as soon as I got off the pack lands, he bribe the people running the training program, so I couldn't contact anyone, I tried so many times to run in the first 6 months after that I knew I just needed to wait it out, I tried getting the friends I made to find out anything but no one could get into the packhouse, my father refused to talk to any other pack, it's like he was going insane, well he is. As soon as my training was up I went looking for you, I went to the Beta training camp and that's when I found out you never made it, I was hoping it's because you got my letter and made it out but when I got back to the packhouse, it was bad, my dad and your dad had gone crazy, I asked about you and they smirked saying you died" he was crying and looking at his hands again
"I went to your mother and she said she didn't have a son" I gasped, a tear rolled down my cheek "I went and spoke to Grace and Sophie and asked them, they said they were told you died in a rogue attack but they didn't believe it. Your other 2 sisters found their mates whilst I was away and had left the pack." He wiped his eyes with his hand
"I spent months looking for you, talking to everyone that was involved and it all came back to our fathers, I knew something wasn't right, I just couldn't work out what the hell happened, my father started to say I needed to stop looking into it, it had been 3 years by this point and that I needed to pick a new Beta and that he would make me Alpha when I turned 22, did I believe him No, but I went a long with it, and started interviewing new Betas and pretended to stop looking for you.
It was only out of pure luck, that I went to an Alpha meeting, dad couldn't be bothered to go, and it ran very very late, most of the other Alpha's stayed the night in a guest room but something in my gut told me to go home. I walked in via the kitchen and was heading upstairs when I heard laughing and whimpering, I turned my head and noticed the basement door was ajar, I stuck my head in a saw my father, your father and Keith (head warrior) beating someone up, so I walked in and shouted "what is going on here? They all looked up at me panicking, then looked at my father who smirked and looked down at the body on the floor, I followed his eyes and saw.....and saw....." he stopped talking,
we were both crying, it just clicked Hayden is an Alpha, Alpha's very rarely cry and usually only for family. I mindlinked Kingsley "im going to hug him" he nodded I got up from my chair and walked round the table and hugged Hayden from the side "I'm so sorry, I didn't save you, I tried" I let go of him and moved my chair so I was closer to him "so what happened next?" I whispered "Ummmm, I ran down the stairs and went to grab you when our fathers grabbed me and pinned me to the floor, someone inject me with something and everything went black, I woke up in my bed chains round my feet, the chains were long enough I could use my bathroom but that was it, I spent most of my time drugged up and unconscious, most of it is a blur, I remember bits like my father coming in and saying that it was for our own good, can't have fags running a pack" this made me shudder "then another time he came in mumbling how you were his second chance, at that I said if you were his second chance mate, why is he in the basement getting beating up, then at some point Cara came and saved me" we were all sat in silence, I stood up
"Oh my god" I turned to Cara "your...your pregnant, how is that possible?" Kingsley who had been quiet this whole time growled, Cara snapped her head to him "I apologise Alpha Kingsley, I didn't mean anything bad by it, it's just amazing, no one other than male Omegas have been pregnant before" "we know" Kingsley stated, I patted his arm and sat down Next to him keeping my arm on his "we have no idea, probably something to do with my wolf" Cara tilted her head, I sighed
"Ok so my turn"
"You sure about this Max, I don't want you getting stressed and making yourself Ill or the pups" I rolled my eyes "yes I'm fine, if I feel unwell, I will say so, I do have a mouth" I saw Hayden smirk, making Kingsley growl, Hayden put his hands up, "it's just nice seeing Max be Max" Kingsley calmed down and I got comfortable, well as comfortable as I could, resting my hands on my bump
