We pulled up to my old pack house to be greeted by 2 council members.
"Afternoon Alpha Kingsley and Luna Max, I am councilman Alec and this is councilwoman Grace, please follow me, I have got some refreshments ready for you, hope the flight wasn't to bad" I picked up our suitcases "Nice to meet you, thank you refreshments would be wonderful, the flight well was ok I guess not a lot can go on in a flying tin can" Max laughed out making Alec and Grace laugh.
After our refreshments and showing us to our room for the week, we met up in I guess what was my brothers office. Duke was pacing in my head, he didn't want to be back here especially in this office, I was trying hard to keep in control, Max looked over to me and coughed "Umm I think it best if we use another room" looking at the council people then back at me, pacing from one end of the room to the other with my eyes changing colours "Oh yes, yes definitely" Grace said hurrying out the room and into the dining room. Duke calmed and let me take control, I sat down, Max sat next to me putting his hand on my thigh . "It's ok baby" he said through the mindlink, I just nodded
"Right so let's get started" Alec said sorting out his papers in front of him
"So it has been decided by the council that your father and Alpha Preston will be sent to prison, the sentence has yet to be set, they have both lost the right to be Alpha over this pack, therefore, the Full Moon Pack is official yours, please sign these forms...both of you" he pushed them in front of me with a pen
"I will official hand the pack over to you tonight, have you decided what you are going to do?" Max looked at me "yeah" I sighed "We have been in contact with other surrounding packs, they have agreed if people want to join them they can otherwise they will be coming with us to Oregon, we will sell the land here but keep the packhouse and a small bit of land as a vacation place for my pack"
"That sounds like a good idea" Grace said passing over another bit of paper "so this details how much money is in the packs account which you will need to transfer into your account and close down, not sure what you want to do with the cars" she handed another piece of paper "They have 5 cars on finance they still have around 2 years left to pay them off" I nodded and handed them to Max, he has been dealing with all the finances regarding money for our pack so he can decide. "some of the pack members rent houses in the town which comes from the pack finances, they don't run out of the lease for another 6 months and also the pack owns 5 houses in the town, so I don't know if you want to sell them" "Wow I'm gonna be busy" Max states as he picks up the other bits of paper
"And lastly, I'm not sure if your aware how the pack made money Alpha Kingsley" Alec said to me "Well the last I knew, they has shares in some tech companies and hospitals" "yes that is correct but we also suspected that they were involved in illegal experiments at the hospital but we have never been able to prove it, whilst clearing out the house if you find anything please let us know." They handed the last of the paper over "so any questions?" Grace said I shook my head then looked at Max "how many members in the pack?" "Including children 250" Max nodded "oh before we call the pack, they do not know anything, just that your father and brother had been taken by the council for a crime and that we would be looking after the pack until it was sorted" I rolled my eyes "So do you want us to explain it them?" Max said "if you could that would be great" I could feel Duke getting grumpy at how lazy the council were being "fine we will do your job for you" Duke growled out making Grace and Alec jump.
It was now evening, we ate in our room away from the pack, we really didn't want to be here, I know I'm going to lose my temper at someone, or should I say Duke is, Duke wasn't that bad when we were younger, so if people do remember me they maybe in for a surprise.
I went through the paperwork, Preston had got rid of Luke, though he is still in the pack, he promoted his friend to Beta, Peter who looks just as bad a Preston but the council couldn't get any evidence, but just in the last few hours of me and Max going through just the paperwork in part of the office, I have him and the Gamma, along with some of the warrior's. Before I accept anyone or move anyone to another pack, I'm clearing out the trash.
