OTM

I was back in New York for Thanksgiving, being home felt so weird now. I was going out with my friends so I had something to be excited about.

It's too cold in New York to be having fun so I don't know where we're going. In Houston, I'm outside all seasons but the cold here makes me want to stay in.

I was already dressed so I texted Bey while I waited for them to come get me.

: what are you doing now?

bey :) 🐮: The same thing I was doing five minutes ago 🙃

: okay you're a bitch

bey :) 🐮: Okay Onika Tanya Maraj

: weirdo

bey :) 🐮: Call me

: no

Bey started calling me anyway and of course I answered. "What?"

She softly laughed, "Why do you have an attitude?"

"Why didn't you want to tell me what you were doing, weirdo?" She should've just told me the first time I asked.

"You ask me what I'm doing every five minutes, at least give me time to do something else."

"You could at least be nice and still tell me." Common courtesy.

"Well I'm still watching the same thing I've been watching for an hour. I'm about to go out with my sister and mom and maybe go to Brysons house later tonight."

"So you want me to hang up?"

"I didn't say that. I actually wanted to talk to you about something."

"What?" That sentence instantly made me nervous.

"My friends told me not to do this and I probably shouldn't do this over the phone but I was really thinking and-"

"Hello?" I acted like I couldn't hear her, I know I'm wrong for this.

"Huh?"

"Hold on Bey, my friends just texted me that they're outside." This wasn't a lie, they did just text me.

My friends were right about me having commitment issues. I'm just going to act like that didn't happen until I get back to Houston.

I don't know what she was going to say but I got a pretty good idea from how she started it.

"Oh.. okay. Well I hope you have fun, I'll stay up a little later incase you want to drunk call or text me."

"I'm probably not going to be drinking tonight so you don't have to." Knowing my friends, I probably will.

"Okay. I'll talk to you later or tomorrow. Bye."

"Bye." I hung up and rushed to put my shoes on.

I was all bundled up, I'm not used to this cold anymore. Gloves, a hat, all that.

My friends actually were outside so I said bye to my mom and left my house. They were standing out front talking and both their heads turned when I opened my door.

"Nicki!" They both ran up to me, I didn't even know who I was hugging but I was hugging one of them.

"I missed you guys!" It's been way too long. Thembi and Candi were my day ones, I assumed our other friends would've been here too.

"Look at you, all this ass!" Candi turned me around and grabbed my ass.

I turned back around and laughed, "You both look good. Where's everyone else?"
