Halloween day—at the Hazbin Hotel.

Morning already came—and went.

It was the afternoon sun that finally woke Azrael up to the numb feeling in his bones. He found himself alone in an empty hotel room.

He closed his eyes and sighed.

*Of course Michi wouldn't be bothered to wake me up.*

He opened his eyes waved his hand lackadaisically in the air to close the curtains, bathing the room in darkness.

He then put on a neutral face of indifference as he changed into his older appearance.

He looked at himself in the mirror and felt nothing when his eyes locked onto the raven mask

He looked at himself in the mirror and felt nothing when his eyes locked onto the raven mask.

He had loved this outfit at the start of the week, but now that Michi's found something to connect it to the Bubonic Plague—it's appeal took a kamikaze swan dive off the Library roof all the way into Hell where it died on impact.

It now leaves a bitter aftertaste in his mouth that wasn't attributed to a food pill or a bitter cup of dark roast coffee.

Of course it's not like Azrael had consciously realized that there was a connection to his insecurities the moment he chose this particular form, despite the passing commentary made by Charlie and his friends a few days ago.

It didn't truly sink in until last night.

And now...it's seriously grating on his nerves.

Worse is the fact that the form he subconsciously chose for his "good side" for the Halloween performance...is so heavily stylized by ancient Egyptian art that it's downright scary how he hadn't realized that he was alluding to those two pivotal moments of his angelic existence.

No, it wasn't until his baby brother mentioned it to him in a passing comment last night that he finally realized something.

He never did get to talk it out with anyone...not as in-depth away.

He didn't allow anyone to get to the root cause of the matter being his own views towards himself.

Of course it's not like anyone ever questioned if Azrael even knew how he's supposed to understand how to handle with own emotions...nope...that's why they have Jophiel!

Well no more...he's had enough.

He knows that Josephine wouldn't allow him to continue with the performance tonight if she knew what he was planning to do...but...his teacherly side is itching to give a lesson, and it's time they learn.
