The windows of the first five levels of the Headquarters building wrapping around the Eastern courtyard were opened. Many heads were leaning out to get a look into the courtyard, some were in danger to falling out from five stories up. The first floor was a wrap around pavilion walkway with arched open air windows.

The heads of each department were on the first level with Draegan Dread in attendance. No one commented on how Carmilla's clinging to his side like a koala or how Black wasn't reprimanding anyone over their lack of safety regarding the distance ratio from the height to ground level of five feet. No, most were going along with Captain Morgan and Roland Clover who were already placing their bets on how fast or how long this battle was going to last.

No one noticed Kainani peering out from behind a pillar on the ground level despite her rather public demotion her presence was easily ignored by the higher ups and secondary level subordinates.

Jinlong was in the center of the courtyard with his sword in one hand and his umbrella in the other.

His grin was downright vicious as he spoke when it started to rain in a steady drizzle.

"Bring forth the delinquent."

Roland smirk and snapped his fingers. Jayr ran through the portal screaming out a plethora of curses in ancient Greek and Japanese towards Roland when he threatened the demon with disembowelment if he ever does something like that to him again. A statement to which Jinlong responded to in Japanese in a singsong tone of voice.

"~Ohhhh Aikia~"

Jayr saw the evil smirk that adorned Roland and Morgan's face and the emotionless gaze of Draegan Dread before he slowly turned around to face a smiling Jinlong.

"Hello~Aikia. You've been challenged to a duel. I suggest you wise up now and take this beating with what little shred dignity you have left."

Jayr gulped behind his mask as his swordlike-fingers flexed similar to a pianist doing the scale on a piano.

Jinlong's eyes followed him as he walked out into the courtyard. Jinlong smirked as the wind blew against him and jostled his hair to the right.

Everyone was waiting with bated breath. Jinlong smirked and commented. "I was going to beat you with the umbrella...but, now that I think about it—," He tossed the umbrella towards the left and everyone saw Kainani bolt out into the courtyard to grab the umbrella out of the air. With a nod she runs back to where she was standing previously.

All eyes returned to Jinlong as he casually held his Chinese Jian dual edged sword in his right hand. "I'm not going to go easy on you—I want you to 🤬 bleed—and I won't be using the swords first."

If Jayr paled behind his mask when the Chinese Jian hovered in the air when Jinlong let go of the handle to get onto a fighting stance—only Jayr will know.

Jinlong knows Aikia's a smart strategist underneath that chaotic personality, but it's a futile effort really. Jinlong's a master at reading his opponent's next moves.

It's what makes him so deadly in combat and what keeps Draegan on his toes.

(He's Uriel and Gabriel's unknowing protege in strategy, and combative strength as Azrael will so boldly claim in their presence.)

In what should've been considered a show of sportsmanship, (that is anything but) Jinlong let's Jayr make the first move as he flings his long hair behind his shoulder with a smug grin towards the psychopath.
