"Leo...wake up."
Leonidas woke up at 4:00 in the bloody morning to Farouk staring down at him. He was about to snarl at the former Arabian Prince had Farouk not gestured for him to be quiet.
That's when they both heard the adorable sleepy mumblings of little Shoi-Ming. The boy was hugging a pillow and mumbling something about cotton candy clouds and riding on the back of a flying Laffy-taffy hippo.
Farouk snorted to avoid any sudden laughter as he hid it all behind a grin. Leonidas smiled softly at the adorable child and tucked the blanket around the sleeping boy. He slowly got out of bed and followed Farouk only to get a hand against his chest.
"Change out of that shirt. It stinks."
Leonidas rolled his eyes.
He put on a button up without buttoning the buttons and walked down the wooden stairs to the communal living area where Imaad and the twins were already waiting for him.
Leonidas groaned. "Did this have to be at 4 in the bloody morning?"
Farouk crossed his arms over his chest. "Yes." He then arched a brow. "Unless you want to wait until Imaad's awake enough for his hand eye coordination to be good enough to throw a cooking pot at your head like a hatchet? Then by all means, we can wait."
Leonidas turned towards Imaad who had the cooking pot resting on the tabletop of their low seated coffee table. The octopus demon merely smiled at him before taking a long sip at his coffee without breaking eye contact.
It's one of the most terrifying sights imaginable and is enough to make you go from being dead tired to wide awake in a heartbeat.
Leonidas has the unfortunate "privilege" of experiencing that look firsthand.
Leonidas imagined that Cranky Librarian Archangel is currently grinning in pride over Imaad's silent intimidation.
Especially after all the stories Azrael's told him of that Archangels intimidation tactics...
