"Okay, so... Good day guys. Before we commence on a short prayer I want to introduce someone new in our midst. Our mystery number 5" M. Paul said.

Samantha walked in immediately while Michelle's mouth dropped in awe.

"What?!" Michelle was beyond shocked.

"Yes, she's a part of us this year. She has the best abilities we need and believe me when I say I was so shocked like, where was she hiding?" Mr. Paul continued.

"I thought this was just for the Art students" Michelle spoke out.

"Exactly!" Kelvin emphasized.

"There's nowhere it says that Science students can't participate in a debate completion" That was Mr. Paul.

"That is not fair at all!" Rejoice said.

"No more complains! I've been put in a position by the principal to drill you all so we can come out first place so do not question any of my actions, it's for the benefit of everyone. Samantha is the new captain, she's so good at debating...Okay! So let's start with a short prayer..." Mr. Paul said.

After the rehearsals, Michelle angrily grabbed her bag and left the library. She couldn't believe that her bestie could do such a thing to her, she had never come between Samantha and her dreams but now Samantha was coming between her and her dreams and she couldn't understand why.

In the hallway she held her bestie's hand and pulled her to a corner, However, she didn't fail to notice that Samantha felt scraggier.

"Why?" Michelle asked.

"Why what?".

"The debate, why did you do it?".

"Cause' I know I can do it".

"Oh please! You understand what I mean Sammy".

"What I don't understand is why I can't do what I want to do".

"You took my position".

"Why are you so proud to admit the fact that I'm better than you, that's why you've blocked me from the competition right?".

"Fine, fine, just fine! You know what? Do whatever you want to do, it's your life not mine right?".

"Sure...Michelle I have to go now so please let go" Samantha looked down as Michelle angrily thrashed her hands and walked away.

'Kylie was right all along' Samantha thought.

Christiana stood at a corner of her aunt's house talking with a neighbor.

"Oh thank you so much for meeting up" Christiana said.

"No problem!" She said.

"Mrs. Julie...Come, come, come! We need to place the flowers in the right position before the guests arrive" Maria Sanders said stealing Mrs. Julie, who was talking to Christiana, away.

No one was in the sitting room except Mrs. Julie, Christiana and her aunt, Maria.

"It's almost 6, I thought you invited some of your friends" Mrs. Julie said.

"I don't have friends but I invited some [people anyways...This sweet sixteen is horrible! I shouldn't have thought about a party at all besides, my parents warned me about this" Christiana complained.

"I don't mind anything, besides I volunteered to plan the party for you because I want you to always remember this day. Even if you're parents are not here because of their busy schedule, just remember that we're here" Maria said.

"Well I'm hungry!" Mrs. Julie said.

Ding-dong Ding-dong

"I'll get it!" Maria squealed.

She hurriedly went to the door and when she opened it she saw a girl with a gift box in her hand.

"Hey! Are you here for the party?".

"Sure" The girl answered.

"Come on in then" Maria ushered her in.

"Thank you".

"Mary welcome! I never thought you could make it" Christiana said hugging her.

"Of course I could. So let's get this party on and going alright" Mary said excitedly.

"Okay then. We'll start with the opening prayers" Mrs. Julie said clutching her stomach.

*sixteen minutes later*

Michelle and Daniel ha arrived for the party. They had just finished singing the 'Happy Birthday' song and were helping themselves with the cake.

"Mary please come with me, I need help taking these birthday boxes upstairs" Christiana said. "Anyways your costume looks great!" She added...SARCASTICALLY.

"I'm sorry no one followed the theme of the party but you" Mary said.

"It's nothing, no problem at all. I know it was kind of weird anyways. I just thought I could come up with something fun but I guess it's no fun at all! I don't even know what 'fun' is".

"I think you need to keep your hobby of reading aside for some time" Mary advised and got a puzzled look from Christiana. "What I meant was that you should explore the outside world for some time before you get back to reading, it's not a bad advice but as you know, 'all work and no play makes jack a dull boy'. You don't want to be dull right?".

"I'll never be dull" Christiana said.

"Let's get going" Mary said and grabbed three boxes while Christiana carried the rest.

The both of them excused themselves and climbed up the stairs to an empty room.

"Let's drop it over there" Christiana pointed to a corner.

"Okay" Mary nodded and placed the boxes on the floor.

"Can I ask you something?" Mary asked.

"Sure" Mary replied and turned to face Christiana.

"Why did you stop blogging? I mean, it was the only thing I enjoyed whenever I was stuck at home and needed something to clear my head. I could really relate with it".

"Really?" Mary asked feeling proud of herself.

"Yes, I was so into it".

"Well, I had to stop for some personal reasons, but I'm sure that I'll be back soon".

"What if you never come back" Christiana said with a smirk. "Remember when I told you not to tell. You didn't listen did you? Instead you ran your mouth telling your sol called friends everything".

"You...you're...you're the one!" Mary said in alarm.

"Oh no dear, I'm innocent just like you. I'm just doing my job. You know what I think we're the same but then, don't overthink the whole thing or you'll spend the rest of your life in a psychiatric hospital".

"Who sent you? Who are you working for?".

"You don't need to know. It's really sad to see you scared but get this straight, my boss wants you and your family to know that it's not over! Don't you even dare tell anyone anything about what transpired between us cause' you don't know who you're dealing with".

Mary moved backwards and slammed herself on the wall.

"You're a wolf in sheep clothing" Mary said panicking.

"Take care of yourself darling" Christiana said with a smile and left for the party.
