Daniel walked around the cinema with the rest of the B squad.

“Do you guys remember the song that played back in the car?” Charles asked.

     “Yes I do” David said.

     “Me too” Matthew added.

     “It’s the best” David complemented.

“Hey, Daniel. What do you think?” Charles asked.

“I don’t think I have anything to say about it. For me, talking about music is like dancing about law. The truth is that I don’t talk music, I sing music” Daniel explained.

“I get you bruh…” David nodded in agreement.

On the other side from where they stood, Michelle turned around and sighted the boys. She had never talked to them before but she felt so lonely without Samantha or Mary or Daniel so she grabbed courage and walked up to them.

     “How are you boys doing?”.

“Cool” they chorused like they had everything planned beforehand.

“I didn’t know you’ll be here” Michelle told Daniel.

“Neither did I. where’s your other half?”.

“She’s not here with me, she said she couldn’t come because she had to rest”.

“I don’t understand? I just saw her leaving the restroom like 5 minutes ago”.

“What do you mean by that?”.

“I mean she’s here” Daniel pointed to the ground.

     “With who then?”.

“I don’t know; I should be asking you instead. Anyways, where’s Mary?”.

“I never thought you would ask!” Michelle teased and the boys laughed. “Anyways, she relocated today, it was more of a company order”.

     “Oh” Daniel nodded.

“So back to Sammy, have you seen her anywhere else?” Michelle enquired.

“No but-” Daniel was interrupted by David.

“I’ve seen her. She was with Kylie”.

     “What?!” Michelle and Daniel exclaimed.

“What the…what is happening to Sammy?” Daniel directed to her.

     “I don’t know”.

“What do you mean by that? You’re supposed to make sure she’s alright!”.

     “Well she’s alright…I guess so”.

     “I’m serious here!”.

“Look, she’s been acting weird for the past few days. I just can’t predict her actions anymore”.

“You’re her bestie. You’re supposed to know what’s up with her”.

“I’m trying to. And you? What are you supposed to do? Watch?” Gabriella fired back.

“I’m not supposed to do anything and remember that Kylie is a bad influence and she shouldn’t be around her” Daniel snapped.

“She’s not” Charles put in. “You know nothing about her”.

“What do you know about her?” Michelle sounded intrigued.

“You don’t need to know anything” Charles looked towards another direction.

“Then stay on your own” Michelle said and turned to Daniel.

“I didn’t even give you the permission to be ere so what are you doing here?” Charles bragged.

“Like you own this place” She almost whispered.

“Someone tell her what she needs to hear” Charles folded his arm.

“His dad owns this cinema, actually everything was written and bought in his name” Matthew said.

“I don’t care!” Michelle stuck her face high in the air.

“Okay…” Daniel drew his word. “I’ll get some snacks for everyone”.

“I hope you mean you’re the on paying” Matthew asked.

     “I’m leaving” Michelle announced.

     “Good” Charles exclaimed.

“Oh please, I’m tired of watching your childish behavior. Grow up!” Michelle lamented.

“Push-lease, nobody ever grows up, they just learn how to act in public” Charles smiled.

“Okay! So back to the snacks. Michelle please stay, I’m also paying for you” Daniel said and left.

“Great, cause’ it’ll taste a lot better when someone is paying. I’ll go take my seat” Michelle walked into the hall after showing a man her ticket.

“Thank goodness you’re seating behind us” Charles shouted after her.

In the cinema hall, Kylie and her minions sat in the middle row and Samantha beside her.

“Why are you looking so tensed up?” Kylie asked.

     “Am I?” Samantha questioned.

“Yes!” Kylie had run out of patient. “Don’t tell me you’re thinking about Michelle?”.

     “Look, I lied to her”.

“Chill…she won’t find out. Didn’t you tell me she wasn’t going to be here”.

“I know,” Samantha said. “…but I don’t know what to do if she finds out”.

“What do you mean by that?” Kylie had grown from impatient to Angry and she wasn’t in the mood for any replies. “don’t you know you can’t move forward in life or even soar high like an eagle as long as you call chickens your friend. You’re not doing anything wrong by deciding to hang out with me darling, I mean I’m also human and you need a break from old friends. It would be like our good old days”.

“I know what you mean but Michelle has never been in good terms with you so…”

“So what? Are you having second thoughts on being here with me?”.

     “No I’m not”.

“So what is wrong with you?”.

“Choices are hard to make and everything is just hard, so hard. It’s not like I have to choose between you and Michelle but I can see that she’s already drifting away and it’s hard for me to decide on what to do. I feel sorry for her but it’s not that I’m doing anything wrong, right?”.

Kylie shook her head in irritation. “Girl! What is wrong with you? Of course life is hard but it’s harder if you’re stupid so are you?”.

“No I’m not, not at all!”.

“I know and that’s why you should forget about Michelle, at least for now. Remember how she didn’t let you have your spotlight, how she was stealing it all along but it changed when you took my advice and you did better than her. Who would have thought?”.

“I remember. Anyway, thank you so much for helping me, I really appreciate”. Samantha spoke softly.

“Oh! You shouldn’t be telling me thank you, safe it for my parents. How are you feeling now, I hope you’re getting better? You should take more of fatty meals so you can regain the weight you’ve lost cause’ I don’t like the way you look…so skinny”.

“I’ll try. The doctor said the exact same thing you know. Thank you for helping me with the money for the stem cell transplant. I don’t know what I could’ve done without you”.

Kylie nodded. “What kind of symptoms have you been experiencing lately?”.

Samantha looked down at her shoes. “I’ve been feeling dizzy and tired and sometimes I experience shortness of breath. I can’t remember the rest but I know that I’ll get better with the stem cell transplant”.

“I’m happy to hear that. Now can Michelle do that?” Kylie criticized.

Samantha slowly shook her head and looked away.
