Use of a homophobic word!

Dream turned the wheel of his car and slowly parked in the front of the school, resting against the car seat as
he checked the time. He waited till he saw the kids walking out the school, scanning the crowd for one particular
girl.

Dream smiled as he saw Gema walking towards the car, he questioned the sad look on her face but decided to ask
when she got in the car. She opened the door and tossed her bag to the front of her seat and sat down, closing the
door and looking out the window in silence.

Dream paused for a minute "how was school Gem?" He asked, her name was Gema but he liked the nickname Gem.

She shrugged "it was fine I guess.." she mumbled, her face showing she was not fine.

Dream decided to not push her and started the car again, backing out the parking spot and driving out the school
zone. The ride was quiet, Gem occasionally sniffling as Dream wondered what could be wrong. Maybe she flunked a
math test? Or maybe she lost something?

Dream drove up to the driveway, stoping the car and watching Gem grab her things quickly and close the door,
speed walking to the front door not even saying a word. "Whatever's bothering her is bad.." Dream thought as
he watched his daughter fling the front door open.

Dream quickly followed her in, watching as she started going right to the staircase, but George jumping in front
of her way, stopping her "hold on young lady, why do you look like you just heard uncle Nick died?" George asked.

Dream went towards George whispering something in his ear "she's been like this since she got in the car, maybe
a bad day or something" he wondered, letting George look back at Gem.

"What happened at school?" George asked, sweetly but firmly.

Gem looked away "just some kids saying some rude stuff, it's nothing really" she said quietly.

"If it was nothing you wouldn't be this effected by it. Tell me what they say Gema" George said sternly, Dream backing
up, he did not want to be in the middle of this if Gema talked back.

Gem paused, tears starting to flow out her eyes as she dropped her bag "...they said I was a weirdo for having two
dads.. and that you don't love me because I'm a girl.." she said as she folded her arms, crying.

George's attitude softened quickly, crouching down "that's not it at all Gem, having two dads doesn't make you
weird, it's more common than you think. And we wouldn't care if you were a sloth sweetie, we chose you for you
and that's something the other kids don't get. Their parents didn't have a choice Gem, that's why their all snobs who
treat other kids horribly, I'd be embarrassed if i picked someone like that" George said bluntly, Dream exhaling, glad
this didn't turn into some sort of commotion.

"It's just... they say I'm going to be gay too.. since I'm being raised by.." she paused.

George raised his eyebrow "raised by what?" He asked.

"F#gs.." she said, as more tears rolled out her eyes "I'm scared their right! I can't hang out with Emily without
feeling so weird! I'm just like what they say!" She shouted, Dreams eyes going wide.

He's had experiences with that word, "f#g.." he looked down, he remembered when people would shout that word at
him, even spray paint it permanently on his desk in school. It really bothered him, even driving him to depression
for just being who he was. He didn't want the same for Gem.

Dream crouched down, grabbing Gems hand "who gives a hell what kids say, only reason kids bully other people is
because their either sick or have insecurities themselves they try to deal with. It's okay to like a girl Gem, and if they
can't get that through their skulls thats their issue" Dream said sternly, Gem hugging around his neck.

"Your fathers right Gem, weve experienced what your going through and we know this is just a pitfall in your life,
but look how we turned out" he smiled, Dream rolling his eyes.

"Terrible" he joked, George elbowing him in the side. Gem chuckled a little, "I give you permission to say whatever
you want to those little snakes, even if you get suspended" Dream said with a smile, George giving him a hesitant
side eye.

"Oooo! Can I say what uncle Nick told me to say to kids I hate!?" She asked excited.

"No! No, no, no! Never take advice from uncle Nick again gem" George said quickly "uncle Nick is just a.." George
tried to find the right word "retard" he laughed.
