Warning; puking, social anxiety, and insinuated homophobia

Karl smiled softly as he traced his pencil along the lined paper, finishing off one of his small sketches that he
made. He looked over the four faces, each one looking exactly the same. He blushed slightly as he added more
details to one of them in the left eye. He was sitting in his schools cafeteria, sketching his crush for the eightieth
time that day. He swears, he's going to need a new sketch book soon.

He loved adding accessories to him as well. Random jewelry like necklaces and rings, bracelets and earrings.
Also other things like sketching him in different clothes, different hats and even glasses, which he thinks would look
really cute on him. Actually, anything Nick wore Karl thought looked kind of cute. Nick was a guy from Karl's grade
who wasn't the most popular boy, but he was well known. He had a small group of friends and was in Karl's
chemistry and math class. It gets better, he sits next to him in chemistry class! Making it super easy to sketch
him without him knowing since he's so close up. Karl loved to make the joke that they had chemistry together,
he knew it was stupid, but he was stupidly in love.

It wasn't puppy love, no, it was more than that. It may have been puppy love in sixth grade, but now, in sophomore
year if high school, it never really went away, yeah, like what? Four or five years of liking the same guy? And he never
got over him? That's not puppy love.

Karl drew a heart in the middle of the page, writing Nick name with his neat cursive writing, curving the k in the
name to make a heart. He smiled again, blushing softly, imagining what a life would be like if he confessed to Nick.
In an even more fantasy, fantasy land, Nick actually saying he liked him back! He imagined waking up in his bed,
seeing him every morning, he imagined holding his hand underneath the desk in their classes, and using their
break time to hang out together as much as possible. Truly heaven.

When Karl finished the heart on his sketchbook, it was suddenly snatched out his hands. He looked up, to see
a kid from a grade above his, looking at the sketchbook. His heart caught in his throat as he stood up, and tried
to snatch it away, "whats this?" The boy asked, he had short blonde hair and bright blue eyes that scanned over
the paper, becoming more filled with mischief and amusement as he put two and two together.

"give it back!" Karl reached for it, damn his short genetics!

"You like Nick!?" The boy announced, Karl turning entirely beet red, every person in the cafeteria turning their
head at the words, "you're gay!?"

Karl stood there, his legs slightly shaking at all the eyes on him. He felt dizzy, his social anxiety made him want
to puke at that very moment. All the embarrassment, all the eyes, was Nick in the room? It didn't even fucking matter!
he'd hear about this shit eventually! Karl tried his best to deny, but he knew there was no use in the matter. "N-no!"
He exclaimed, "just give it back!" Karl reached for it, someone running up to the blonde boy, he was a little shorter
than him, and had black hair. The blonde boy tossed the sketchbook towards him, and he caught it, the book
flying over Karl's head as they passed it between each other. "Give it asshole!" Karl yelled, shocked that he
cursed, if his parents heard him right now, he'd be grounded forever!

The two laughed, and Karl heard a loud crashing noise a few feet away. With his attention everywhere else,
he noticed the notebook slip from the blondes had when he had caught it, and land behind himself. Karl ran towards
it, hoping to get to it before he did, but saw it floating in a puddle of juice, the pages all wet and very delicate now.
there was a tray on the ground, and two girls, they probably bumped into each other since there was food and
juice everywhere on the floor. Karl crouched down and picked up the notebook, seeing pages falling out. His
eyes tears up slightly, he had been working on that book of Nick sketches all year.
