Olivia's pov
April 2021I woke up with the worst hangover of my life. The second I sat up in bed, my head spun violently, and I had to squeeze my eyes shut to stop the dizziness. My stomach twisted uncomfortably, and before I could think twice, I rushed to the bathroom, barely making it in time before throwing up.
Great start to the day.
After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I stepped into the shower, letting the warm water soothe my aching body. It helped, but only a little. Once I was out, I slipped into a matching tracksuit—comfy and effortless—then straightened my hair and applied minimal makeup. My suitcase and bag were already half-packed, so I finished up while sipping some water, hoping it would ease my hangover.
Today, u was flying home to Monaco. Since there wouldn't be a race for another two weeks, I figured it was best to recharge before the next event. Daniel was also heading back, so we agreed to fly together. It was exciting knowing he had finally gotten a place in Monaco—it meant more time to hang out.
I assumed Max would be flying with us too. That was fine. Since that meant more time with my brother and my best friend.
Grabbing my phone, I texted Daniel.
Olivia: Hey Danny, are you up? I'm ready to leave whenever you are.
Daniel: Hey Livia, I've been awake for hours. Max and I will come to your room now, then we can leave.
Olivia: Great. Sorry for sleeping in. I have the worst hangover, so please don't be loud, you two!!
Daniel: It's fine. We will behave. Did you at least have fun?
Olivia: So much fun! I have some gossip for you later.
Daniel: Tell me now.
Olivia: Charles kissed me last night... and you better not say a word to my brother.
Daniel: I won't, but—Tell. Me. Everything!!!
I laughed at his response, knowing he was probably bouncing with curiosity. I trusted Daniel with this, though. He wouldn't tell a soul. That's why I felt safe confiding in him—because there was now way I could keep this to myself.
A few minutes later, there was a knock on my door. When I opened it, Max and Daniel stood there, both dressed casually, but Daniel had a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Good morning, little miss sunshine" he teased, his smirk making it painfully obvious that he was holding back laughter.
"Good morning, Oli" Max greeted, much more relaxed.
"Morning, guys" I mumbled, slipping on my sunglasses to shield my tired eyes. "Let's go. I just wanna be home already"
___A few hours later, we arrived in Monaco. Max headed to his place, saying he had a few things to do, while Daniel and I went to my apartment. The second we walked inside, he wasted no time.
"Alright, spill. Tell me everything, Livia" he grinned, making herself comfortable by the kitchen island.
I rolled my eyes but couldn't help smiling at his eagerness. "Okay, fine... We went out with a few others, had a lot to drink, danced, and just had fun all night" I started, pausing for dramatic effect.
"And?"
"The we went back to the hotel with Lando and Luisa, but after they left, Charles walked me to my room. When we were saying goodbye, he got closer... and then he kissed me"
