Chapter thirty-eight

Olivia's pov:
January 2022

Time flew by so fast, I'm entering week 11 tomorrow which is crazy. Then there's only about one week till we can finally relax, and not constantly think about the risks that follow in the early stages of pregnancy, even though from week one to about week six are the most risky weeks. So I feel like this is gonna go well since we are past those weeks!.

It's Tuesday and I'm alone till the end of the week. Charles is in Italy for some work, I chose to not go with him because I have a bit of work to do this week. I have a few posts to upload, a meeting to attend, tons of mails to answer and then I have a photoshoot today for a popular monegasque magazine, which I'm very excited for.

I left the apartment building, walked down to my car and drove towards the photostudio, where I'm gonna have the pictures taken. The drive there didn't take long. When I arrived I met up with two lovely ladies from the agency I'm in, Camille and Marie who arranged the photoshoot.

"Hey girls" I said and greeted them both. "Hey Olivia, how are you doing?" Marie asked and pulled me into a hug. "Fantastic, I'm so ready for this shoot!" I said excitedly.

We walked upstairs together and got to the hair and makeup, I sat down in the chair in front of the huge mirror. Then the lovely makeup artist started to do his magic, he was literally so good. "So do you prefer straight or curled hair?" He asked after he had finished my makeup, and was now onto the hair.. "hmm, normally I like straight hair best, but let's try some wavy curls?" I shrugged and smiled. "Just what I was thinking" he said and laughed, then he started to curl it. The curls were more like waves so it looked very natural which I loved! They looked really pretty.

I got dressed in some clothes which was a very laid back outfit, I had an oversize shirt on, which I was happy about since I had a little tiny baby bump, to be honest it just looked like I was bloated. But if people saw it, rumors definitely would start to spread, and I didn't want that. So this was great!

After I got so many photos taken we were done for today, I was already tired and I was also very hungry! So I said my goodbyes to everyone here, and drove  home where I started to make some lunch. Then I talked with Charles since he had a break, that was lovely. And finally I had my nap, just perfect!.

What should just have been an hour long nap, turned into a 2 and a half hour nap, but I needed it.

I was just looking at my phone, scrolling through Instagram, but then I got a call from Arthur, so I answered. "Hey Arthur, what's up?" I asked.

"Hey Olivia, what are you doing today?" He asked, he sounded really happy. "Not much, why?" I asked. "Do you wanna do something together? I'm so bored today" He asked. "Yeah sure".. "Great, I'll be at your place in 10 minutes," he said. And then we said our goodbyes.

After ten minutes he arrived. "Hey Arth!" I said and pulled him into a hug. "Hey Oli, how's my sister-in-law and my nephew doing?" He asked. "Both are doing just fine.. but sorry Arth I think it's a girl" I laughed. "Definitely not, it's a boy," he laughed. "Yeah, Charles thinks that as well," I said.

We got over to the couch and just talked a little bit. Until we found something to do, we decided to bake some cookies and then head over to Pascale later to eat dinner with her, which she of course was up to.

I checked the kitchen cabinets for all the ingredients and luckily we had everything we needed. "So, are you good at baking? Because I'm not" I asked. "Ehm, not really," he laughed, while reading through the recipe.

"Well this is gonna be fun then" I said.

We then started to mix all the ingredients together. To our surprise it went great actually. "Jesus we are so good that we could open a bakery!" Arthur said sarcastically. "Oh yes, it would be the best bakery in town, no doubt!" I laughed. We had so much fun while baking, we laughed, joked and talked a lot. It was great spending some time alone with Arthur, he's such an awesome person to be around.
