Chapter forty-six

Olivia's pov:
March 2022

It was already time again to travel back to Asia, I had just landed back home like 5 days ago. But I'm not complaining because I get to travel the world and be surrounded by all my favorite people and watch all the races I want to. I feel very lucky.

Today was Saturday, unfortunately I had to miss all the practices and the qualifying, which wasn't originally planned. But I have a lot of work, and I'm starting to work on a new project which required more meetings this weekend than planned.

I had packed my bags and then I ordered a taxi that could drive me to the airport. I had a lot of stuff with me since we after Jeddah are flying directly to Australia, where the next race takes place. - "where are you traveling to Miss?" The chatty taxi driver asked. "I'm going to Saudi Arabia" I said and smiled. "Wow brave choice, aren't you scared of going there?" He asked. "No I'll be fine, I have some family and many great friends there, and it's actually quite safe there" .. "you've been there before huh?" .. "I have, a few times. My brother sometimes works there" I smiled.. "Impressive! What does he do for a living?" He asked and looked at me through the rear window mirror, since I was sitting on the backseat.

"He's a formula one driver" I said, and his eyes got big! "No way! Who's your brother, I'm a big fan" .. "My brother is Max," I said. "Crazy! So are you Olivia or Victoria, I know he has two sisters right?". "I'm Olivia, and yes Victoria is our little sister. Max and I are twins actually" I laughed. "That's cool. So you probably know my favorite driver as well, Charles?" He asked.

"Oh yes very much" I laughed. - "No way, this is so cool. When we arrive at the airport is there any way I can get a picture with you? He asked, I could really hear in his voice how excited he was.

"Yeah, of course you can," I smiled. - the whole 42 minutes drive there we talked back and forth about Formula One, he told me that he had been watching for a long time, and I told him a few facts he didn't know about f1. It was probably the best taxi trip I had ever been on, the middle aged driver was really kind and funny. - When we arrived at the airport we took a picture together and he told me that he would post it to his instagram where he had just about 200 followers. I then reposted it on my story, and then he found out that I also am quite famous because of my social media. He got totally starstruck. It was really sweet.

I checked in my bags, got through security and then found my way to the first class lounge in the airport. I got some food and something to drink, it was lovely. - After about an hour it was time to board the airplane, I texted Daniel, Max and Charles to let them all know I was on my way, and was about to board the plane. I found my seat, which was next to the window. I was of course flying first class so I had like almost a little cabin for myself, it was amazing since I was flying alone and the flight was almost nine hours.

The time went by fast, I ate food, watched a movie, listened to music while working a bit, and then I also slept for a little while. And before I knew it the plane had landed in Jeddah.

I got out and found my way to baggage-claim, it took a while since the airport is huge, and a bit confusing, but I managed to find it by following all the signs.

I had now arrived at the hotel, so I just went to the reception where I checked in and got my keycard to my room. Some of the staff had taken my suitcase and bag, and would bring them to me, so I just went to the stairs and walked all the way up to the right floor.

My room was stunning, I had a wonderful look at the city and the room was huge for just me though. - I unpacked my suitcase which had just arrived, then I changed clothes since I didn't want to wear my travel clothes anymore.

I then called Charles, of course he picked up right away. "Hey love, have you arrived?" he asked, I was so happy to hear his voice, I have missed him over the last few days. "Hey, yeah I have I'm in my room now. where are you?" I asked. "Just got back from the track, shall I come over?" he asked. "Yeah come over now" .. "Great, I'll be there in a few minutes, love you" he said. "see ya soon, love you too" I said and then we hung up.
