Olivia's pov:
February 2023

I was just chilling around at home, doing some work stuff on my laptop. Until I heard the front door unlock. "I'm home!" Charles said loudly and I must admit I got up way faster than my nausea could handle. Charles had been away for over a week, for the pre-season testing in Bahrain. And then he's leaving again in just two days for the first race of the 2023 season, but he wanted to come home for my next ultrasound which is tomorrow. And tomorrow is probably the scan where the genders can be found. So that's really exciting.

"Hiii, I missed you so much!" I said and pulled him into the biggest hug followed by a kiss, I missed him like crazy the past week. "Aw love, I missed you more!" He smiled and looked down at me. "Wait, have you gotten bigger this past week?" He smiled and touched my belly, which was getting bigger. It's still not big, but I do look a bit more pregnant now. I'm entering week 16 in two days, so I'm starting to show more for each week, especially since it's with twins. "Yeah, I think I have grown a bit since you left," I answered and smiled. "You look amazing, love" he smiled and placed a kiss on my forehead..

We spent the entire day together, in the evening Pascale came over for dinner and she had some knitted blankets for the twins which was adorable, and very special since she had made them herself. They won't be born until almost half a year and she is already spoiling them like crazy, it's so cute. And I just know those two little kids will be so spoiled and loved by everyone close to them.

The day had come and it was time to head towards the clinic where we are having another ultrasound. And I'm genuinely excited, and I really hope she can see the genders of the babies today.

We walked inside and checked in by the desk. After a little wait, we got into the room where I laid down and Charles sat next to me. "How are you feeling, Olivia?" Dr Toussaint asked. "I'm good, I have some nausea once in a while, but definitely not like in the first trimester" I smiled, while she poured the gel thing on my stomach. "That's great to hear.. So shall we start by listening to the babies heartbeats?" she asked. "Yeah, that would be lovely" I answered and Charles agreed. She quickly found their heartbeats, and it sounded perfect.

"That is some strong and perfect heartbeats" she said and smiled, after we had listened to them. "Thank god!" Charles smiled.. She searched a bit around to check that everything was as it should be, and thankfully it was.. "Okay, so do you wanna know their gender?" she asked. "Do you already know?" I asked. "Yup, it's really obvious actually" she smiled. "Can you maybe write it in an envelope?" I asked. "Yes sure, are you planning on throwing a gender reveal party?" she asked while writing on a little piece of paper, that we of course couldn't look at. "Just a private for the two of us," Charles smiled. "That sounds very sweet.. It's written in here, and here are some photos of the babies" she said and handed Charles the envelope and the ultrasound photos..

After the ultrasound I had to get some blood tests taken just as routine, thankfully it didn't take long. "Can't believe it's in here" Charles said and looked at the envelope. "I really wanna rip it up right now!" I laughed as we got into the car. "Me too, but let's be patient and wait" he laughed. We then drove to a local bakery where Charles walked inside and ordered two tiny cakes with the colors of the genders. I didn't walk with him because we wouldn't risk people seeing us, and see my pregnant belly. Inside the bakery Charles just said it was for one of his friends, because just about everyone here knows who he is, so once again we didn't wanna have any pregnancy rumors around the medias.

The next day was the day we had to get the cakes, but also the day where Charles is leaving for Bahrain again. "I'm gonna get the cakes alright?" Charles said while he was putting on his shoes. "Yeah, I'll see you soon" I smiled and gave him a kiss before he walked out of the door. While he was out I just chilled a bit, but he wasn't gone for a long time since the bakery is just a few blocks from our place..
