Thank you so much for reading Link Up!
I had no idea what I wanted to do with this story. At first, it was going to be a college story about some wilding out teens. When I decided to have Rayvn as the main character from Hook an Angel, I did not want her too wild. (Which is why it's titled Link Up, it was supposed to be about a bunch of link ups)
Once I decided on a story about Rayvn, I knew it would include the effects of trauma from growing up with teen parents, a toxic mother, and her hesitation to date for fear she would become her parents. Rayvn is quirky and naive, yet, she overcame a lot at a young age.
I was not trying to make her become a different person in the span of a school year, but I wanted change in her. And as an advocate for mental health, I wanted to see that as well. Even when we think there is nothing wrong, it's always good to talk to someone, anyone. Rayvn has that with her family and now friends...and a therapist!
Will there be any more on Rayvn?
Possibly a bonus chapter! You know me, and I love a good bonus.
Also, in the same world, I have started writing the Shay book (finally) so look for that soon.
Love my readers!
Kimberly
