We died that day. The day we left the police department. We weren't the same after, and we were constantly reminded of it, too.

For two months, everyone's life was hell. It all started the night of that day.

When Taehyung lead us through the dark streets, we forever knew that what we had would never be the same. It was the beginning of the end for the crew, but a lot of people, including myself, just didn't know it yet.

"Stick close and follow me," Taehyung demands in a quiet, yet rough, voice. He leads the small group with the gun aimed in front of him while occasionally pointing it in the direction of any noise.

Holding his fist up, we stop moving until he says to move. He's our lifeline right now, and if not for him, I'm sure we never would have made it this far.

Of course, no one wants to be underground in the sewage tunnels, but given the state of our very lives, we have no choice.

We stick close to one another, covering our noses from the horrendous stench, and keep moving.

Barbie mentions leaving the city for a little while and said we could lay low at her grandparent's ranch, but Taehyung disagrees.

"We don't even know how long it could take to get there. What if the others try to contact us?" With his question left hanging in the air, we drop the topic, but I know as well as anyone else that leaving the city will probably be the best option.

I don't say that, and neither does anyone else. Taehyung has to come to that decision, and yes, we can always go off on our own, but who's to say we will even make it out of the city without protection and having someone know the city in and out like Taehyung?

It would be stupid to go off alone, especially by yourself. Besides, thanks to Acid, it's not like the public doesn't know most of our identities anyway. It's better to play it safe at this point.

Once we travel long enough underground and climb out onto the streets, Taehyung guides us to his home.

He leads us to a small apartment complex that's falling apart around the edges. He guides us up the four-story apartments until he walks to apartment 404.

"This is my mom's place. She knows we're coming," he admits while letting the back of his knuckles hit the white door.

"Mom, it's Taehyung," he calls out, and within seconds, we hear the sounds of chains and locks from the other side. When the door opens wide, we see his mother, so gorgeous and fairly young.

She smiles when looking at him, then hugs him tightly while speaking a foreign language that I can't decipher.

Taehyung hugs her back, whispering to her in a gentle tone while responding to her in what I assume is the same language.

When he backs up and looks at us, he nods his head to the door. "Mom said we can stay here as long as we need, but it won't be long at all, so don't get too comfortable," he walks inside while the rest of us rush inside before anyone can spot us.
