It's easy to see we're in panic mode. We're trying to be so quiet as we creep through the house to find anything to help aid our midnight mission, but it's hard to do when a few people are still wide awake.

Thankfully, when I tiptoe back into my room, Jungkook is fast asleep. With him snoozing, I take this opportunity to grab some of my clothes, which aren't much at all, and carefully reverse my steps out of the room.

I don't dare breathe as I shut the door, worried Jungkook will run and open the door, catching me red-handed, but that doesn't happen. It doesn't happen when I take the first step away from the door, when I'm halfway down the stairs, or when I'm walking into the kitchen again.

The few people left awake are watching some old movie, and thankfully, aren't paying too much attention to us. However, one of the guys asks what we're doing, and Taehyung replies in a confident tone.

"Just making plans. I think we're going to dress up and head outside to find any materials we need. You know, food, water, ladies' monthly stuff," as soon as Taehyung is on the topic of women and periods, the guy waves us off as if that's enough and turns his attention back to the television screen with disgust.

As much as I rather dislike how men treat periods as a disgusting situation, I do welcome its distraction.

After that, we slip out of the back door. I tell them to follow me, and I guide them down to the basement. Luckily for us, there's no inside way into the basement, only through the outside entrance which is the only way in.

Once we passed through the heavy basement door, we walk inside where I find the light switch. Despite many basements being full of junk and many spiderwebs, Dad usually kept this room the cleanest.

However, I knew it was because he would invite his pals over and they would drink down here.

Before Dad lost one of his friends, the friend let Dad keep one of his extra flat screens over here where they would watch sports and drink beer during the season. But when Dad never paid the money back to his friend due to a late fee on our monthly bills, his friend took back his tv and never came back.

I don't blame the guy either. It's awful living with someone who doesn't care about income.

When looking at the basement now, it's still in good condition. There's a built-in bathroom in the back of the room, a coffee table in the middle, a mini fridge in the corner along with cases full of drinking cans to the side, and a large couch placed on top of a black rug.

We walk inside quickly as I shut the door behind us, wanting to make sure both the cold and anyone else can't slip inside.

Guiding ourselves into the room with the items we've carried with us for the mission, we soon become comfortable to make a plan.

"He won't be expecting us. He thinks he's driven us inwards into hiding. This is the perfect time to get him because he thinks he's got us," Twix admits, which we all collectively agree with.

"I agree," Taehyung admits, setting out objects from the bag. "We have time to dress up to conceal our identities before we leave, so I suggest we do it quickly." He adds while Barbie steps up while taking a makeup kit out of the pile of objects from the bag. "We need masks. We don't have time for makeup—" Taehyung starts, but Twix interrupts him.
