"No Papa." I say shaking my head as I cry.

"Now Two, you remember what happened the last time you didn't do what you were told?" Papa says as he finishes hooking me up to the monitor. "Hmm? You didn't see Peter for a week. You weren't allowed to see him in the Rainbow Room. Do you want that to happen again?"

Tears stream down my face as I look at the small kennel that's sitting on the table. A cat is inside.

"Papa..." I whimper.

"This is no longer up for discussion 002. You are to do as you are told." He says aggravated.

I solemnly look at the cat as tears continue to fall down my cheeks. Papa leaves the room and goes into the one next door, with a window looking into mine.

Dr. Owen's POV

"Sir, do you really believe that this is a good idea? She's only four." I question Martin.

"She can handle it Sam. I know how strong my daughter is. I'm want to see how far her limits go, so we know how to make her stronger." He explains to me.

Everyone in the lab knows, even at four years old, that Josephine is the strongest child. 001 was born with his powers, but Two... her powers were man-made. We don't know her full potential. However, at the rate Martin is pushing her, we'll never know. That's why I need to get her out of here. And I have a plan.

The cat won't stop hissing at me. It's scared. I'm scared. Papa is staring at me through the window. He wants me to kill the cat. Just like how I can crush a soda can. Papa says 'It's a bigger challenge for you. You need to get stronger.'.

"Do it, Two." Papa's voice comes through the speaker.

With one last look at the window, I turn my attention back to the cat. I don't know how I'm going to do this? The cat won't stop hissing. I can't stop crying. Taking a deep breath, I think about crushing the can. The cat starts to snarl and hiss at me. Making me even more scared. I still try to focus. The monitor starts to make a lot of noise, as the waves get closer to each other. The cat swipes at the cage, scaring me out of my concentration. It starts hissing at me again.

I can't do it. I take the wires off of my head, causing the monitor to be silenced.

With tear streaks down my cheeks, I look at Papa through the window. He's not happy. I shake my head no, telling him that I can't do it. Papa disappointedly puts his head down and then nods his head.

Suddenly the door to my room is busted open and two big men grab me by my arms and drag me out of the room.

"No! No!" I scream as I try to get myself free from their grasps.

I see Papa walk out of the room and into the hallway. He does nothing but watch as they take me away.

"Papa! Papa! Papa" I scream as we get closer to the end of the hallway. We then turn a corner and Papa is no longer in sight. "No! Papa!"

They're not taking me to my room. This room is pitch black. No windows, no light. The men drop me on the floor as soon as we get inside. I quickly stand up and face them. Before they lock the door, I push it open with the nod of my head. The door flies open, pushing one of the men into the wall, killing him. The other man turns and stands in front of me, scared. With a tilt of my head, the man's neck breaks and he falls to the floor.

Suddenly, I feel very weak. I stumble and lean onto the wall for support before I slide to the floor. Papa now stands in front of the room, in the hallway, and examines the dead men on the floor. He looks at me and walks closer. I try to scoot away from him, crying silently.

"Shhh. Shhh. Josephine, your Papa is here. Everything is alright." He says as he slowly reaches out and cups my face with his hands. "Incredible." he says and pulls out a handkerchief from his pocket. With it, he wipes the blood from my nose. He tucks the handkerchief back into his pocket and picks me up.

I'm so tired.

Papa picks me up and carries me out of the room. He steps over the dead men and walks down the hallway.

"You are incredible, my sweet, darling, Two." He says as I close my eyes and is welcomed with darkness.

Dr. Owen's POV

After Martin places Josephine in her room, he comes back out, and shuts her door.

"Sam, I want you to watch over her tonight. 002 is very weak right now, so monitor her as she rests." Martin says. "I'm going home."

"Yes sir, have a good night." I respond politely.

I watch as Brenner turns down the hallway and leaves. Just in time, Peter makes his way towards me.

"Did you do it?" I ask him.

"Yes, the camera's are shut off. Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Josephine deserves a better life than this. Do you have the serums?" I ask holding out my hand.

Peter reaches into his pocket and hands me two syringes. "What do these do again?"

"This will stop her heart for twenty minutes." I say holding up one syringe. "It'll give me enough time to get her out of here. Brenner will think she is dead and never look for her. Then when I get her into the car," I hold up the other, "I'll inject her with this one. Josephine won't remember anything."

"She won't remember anything?" Peter asks with his head down.

"It's for the best." I sigh as I put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

He nods his head in understanding.

"Okay, guard the door." I say and slip inside Josephine's room.

I wake up in the backseat of a car.

"Hello sweetheart." A man's voice says from the passenger seat.

"Dr. Owens?" I say groggily. "Where's Papa?" I ask as I take in my surroundings.

"Josephine I'm taking you away from your Papa. He is a very bad man." He says as he picks a briefcase off the floor and opens it.

"No. I wan't Papa!" I say becoming hysterical.

"Pull over." He tells the driver.

Dr. Owens gets out of the car and into the backseat. With the syringe in hand, he holds me still.

"Josephine, I'm doing this to protect you!" He says as I squirm in his arms.

Suddenly, I feel a very sharp pinch in my neck and I let out a small yelp. My brain starts to become foggy and I stop crying. My eyes are becoming droopy and I start to fall asleep. The man is still holding me in his arms.

"I had to give her a sedative. It'll help her forget." The man says.

He looks down at me and my eyes flutter shut.

"Don't worry Danielle, you're safe now."

"Holy shit." I say as I'm woken up by my alarm.
