What is humanity?
Is it that pull to those we love?
Is it the urge to do better than best?
Is it the way you desire to look nice in the presence of others?
Is to be human to be selfless
To be bold and brave
To be smarter than you were yesterday
To believe and advocate for human rights
What is a human if not emotions
If not feelings and mentality
If not striving and caring
If not fighting for humanity
Who are you to be human as your world rots?
Who are you, I ask, to live on dying earth
Who are you, who are we
Who are we all if not advocates for humanity
How can you live, I beg your answer
How can you live while others suffer from no fault of their own
How can you live knowing each bite you take kills your planet
How can you live when the world treats some with respect and others like dirt
How can you live
In a world that lacks humanity
In a world that lacks human nature
In a world that does not benefit humans
In a world where being human isn't fair
What is humanity?
I see no humanity here
No humanity walks this earth
We were once human, now we are mere vermin.
No better than a rat.
