Third Person

Five hours came by quickly. Currently, the couple was situated in their respective rooms, both preparing for their trip to Paris.

Diamond was a bundle of excitement. Despite having gone to Paris once for a trip, she didn’t stay long and do tourist activities as she was there to seal a deal for work. Now, she was returning as a full-fledged tourist.

Closing up her suitcase, she opens her door and heads down the stairs.

“Packed?” Liam asks, examining the suitcase trailing beside his wife.

“Yep.” She responds. “Ready to go?”

Liam walks towards her and grabs the suitcase. “Come on.”

“Mr. and Mrs Park, it's a pleasure to be at your service. I'm Captain Henderson, and I will be the one on the wheel for your journey to Paris.” The pilot greets, lowering his head.

“Come on, Jackson. What’s with the formalities?” Liam teases.

“I’d rather not showcase my foolery in front of your wife, Mr Park.” He teases back.

“Diamond, this is Jackson, a good friend of mine. He’s a pilot.”

“Nice to meet you, Jackson.” Diamond greets.

“I’m sorry I missed the wedding. I had a round trip to Australia and couldn’t make it on time.” He explains sadly.

“It’s fine, man,” Liam says, hitting him on the shoulder.

“Which is why I’ll be escorting you two to your honeymoon.” He beams. “To rid myself of the guilt.”

Liam rolls his eyes whilst muttering something under his breath.

“I heard that!” Jackson points out childishly.

Diamond couldn’t help but smile fondly at the two men in front of her.

“Let’s head inside,” Liam says, gesturing at his wife.

The two enter the luxurious jet with Jackson trailing behind. He introduces the flight attendants and personally escorts them to their seats.

“Seat back, and enjoy my driving.” He says cockily.

“Try not to crash the plane, will you?”

Jackson passes a not-so-subtle middle finger at his friend before smiling widely at Diamond. He then says his goodbyes and leaves the two alone once more.

After a series of lunch, dinner, and dessert, Diamond was situated comfortably on her seat, watching her fourth movie on the flight. Liam, who had given up on movies, decided it was better to listen to an audiobook instead. It had made the time pass for a few hours, but currently, he was feeling incredibly drowsy.

“I’m going to sleep.” He announces, lifting himself from his seat.

“Goodnight Liam,” Diamond says, her focus maintained on the screen.

“Night.” He yawns and goes to the back.

By the end of the movie, Diamond too was feeling tired. Turning off the TV, she followed the route to where Liam had gone. She finds a door at the very back of the jet and opens it.

A spacious room comes to view. It was decorated with mild colors, all blending well with the décor. A large was situated in the middle, inviting Diamond to drown in the sheets.

Wait. Is this the only room?

As Diamond moved closer, she noticed that someone was already occupying the bed, Liam, who was in deep slumber, was sleeping on the right side, his frame almost covered by the duvet. His hair was messy as it fell freely on the pillow, his cheek squished, and a soft pout on his face.

Diamond lets out a single laugh. Who knew the great Liam Park slept so soundly?

Pondering back to the single bed problem, she thought about her options. The incredibly inviting bed or the comfy seat? Yes, the seat had as much leg space as possible catering to those with long legs, meaning Diamond could sleep on the seat.

Still, the bed won in the end.

Diamond exits the bathroom and comes out wearing a pair of silver silk pajamas. Her braids we tightened up and situated under her silk bonnet, protecting them. She quietly shuffles around the room and places her body on the remaining space of the bed. She lets out a satisfied smile before closing her eyes and falling into a deep slumber.

Diamond wakes up feeling slightly uneven. She grumpily opens her eyes and scans the room. Rubbing her eyes, she looks over at her husband, who is deep in sleep. She turns her head back to stare out of the window for a bit until she snaps her head back to Liam.

Can someone tell me why half of my body is on top of my husband?

Diamond’s eyes widen, all sleep removing itself. There she was, nearly on top of him. Her left leg was on top of Liam’s abdomen, hanging down to his lower thigh. Her left arm was thrown over his chest, and it seemed as if she was practically cuddling him.

Oh no no no no! She panics internally.

She notices Liam stirring and quickly removes herself from him. Deciding to evade her husband, she rushes towards the bathroom, where she locks herself for the next forty minutes, showering and coming up with a plan on how to face him.
