Diamond quickly returns to her husband's side, a stiff smile on her face. Liam seems to notice Diamond's change in mood as he guides her to a corner where people were not listening.

"Are you okay?"

Diamond doesn't look at her husband. "I'm fine. Why?"

"You don't seem fine. I sense negative energy around you."

"You sense negative what?" Diamond repeats, a smile forming on her face. "Are you a fairy or something?"

Liam puts his hand around her waist, pulling her closer. " I can be if you tell me what the matter is."

Putting her hands on her husband's chest, Diamond responds. "Nothing is wrong. Something caught me off guard, that's all."

Furrowing his eyebrows, Liam waits for some context.

"Don't worry about it. I'll tell you when we get home."

"Are you sure?"

With a reassuring nod, Diamond smiles widely at her husband, who places a quick peck on her lips.

"Let's not keep people waiting. You are the man of the hour, aren't you?"

Locking her arm around her husband, the two return back to their guests.

Diamond feels someone's gaze on her as she turns around to face Lionel. He held a look of disdain on his face as he had witnessed Diamond and Liam's cute moment that occurred seconds ago. Ignoring him, Diamond put her full focus on her husband, a smile lay on her face as she listened to the many stories the guests were telling.

Lionel angrily chugs a drink as the need to punch something grew stronger. Who was that Liam guy anyway? Why had he grown so comfortable with Diamond? Why did Diamond look so at ease with a man other than her holding her?

Had she really moved on?

"Lovely to see you too, Lionel."

Turning around, Lionel is face to face with Aya, who holds a not-so-pleased smile on her lips.

"Aya." He greets.

"Why have you come back? After this long. What are you doing here, Lionel?"

"This is where I belong, Aya. I was born here, too."

"Yet you left just like that! Why now? Why now when Diamond is happy?"

Lionel glances back to his former lover, only for his heart to hurt. Diamond was clutching Liam ever so lovingly, with him responding with just much affection. The laughter that once sounded like a melody left a bitter taste in Lionel's mouth as that same laugh was directed at Liam.

Aya continues, not noticing the look of Lionel's face.

"Diamond is happy. Liam makes her happy. Do not ruin this for her, I beg of you."

The glass in his hand shakes as he puts it back on the table. "I-I can't do that."

"What?"

"I can not do that. I love Diamond too much just to let her go that easily."

A scoff escapes Aya's mouth. "It didn't seem that way when you packed your bags and left with no word."

"I left her a letter!"

"A letter she only found days after you left!" Aya responds angrily. "You will never know how distraught she was when she found a letter in her favorite book from her boyfriend."

Looking at his feet, Lionel's shoulders slump in defeat.

"Let me be clear, Lionel." Aya starts, moving closer to him. "Leave Diamond alone. You had your chance, and you fumbled."

And with that, she walks away to join in the conversation with her friend.

Lionel could only sit down, with a sad glass of whiskey as he sadly drank it whilst looking at the happy couple.

Not really, considering how mega short these two are.

Oh hail Queen Aya!
