Liam opens the front and makes way for Diamond to enter first. The lights had already been switched off, meaning Martha had already gone to bed. Removing his jacket, Liam heads for the stairs.

"Liam, wait." Diamond calls out, making him stop and turn around.

"We still need to talk, remember," Diamond says, a nervous chuckle escaping her lips.

"Wouldn't you like to change first?"

Diamond shakes her head. "I need to get it out of my chest."

Liam hangs his blazer on the stair rail, attention fully on his wife.

Taking a deep breath, Diamond begins to speak.

"Lionel is the one who left me."

Liam tilts his head slightly confused at the vague statement. Diamond said it so quickly that he almost missed half of it.

"Left you where?"

"With a broken heart."

As the information dawned, Liam's mouth opens in realization.

"The Lionel, we just hosted it that Lionel?"

Diamond nods, scared to face her husband.

Liam doesn't know how to respond. What are the odds? The man who broke his wife's heart showed up in the flesh, right in front of him, and he has no clue. All this time, he had been working with the man who hurt Diamond. How did it not click that Lionel was Diamond's Lionel?

"How did I not realize." He says, asking himself.

"Lionel is a pretty common name." Diamond mumbles, examining her husband's reaction.

"So what are you going to do now?"

"There's something else you should know," Diamond says, not responding to the previous question.

Liam had a bad feeling about this. The look on Diamond's face made him scared.

"When I went to the bathroom, Lionel followed me. He kissed me."

Liam stiffens as he stares at his wife's anger, bubbling.

"He did what?"

"I pushed him off. I didn't even respond. It felt disgusting how he could just try and do that and think I would allow him. What does he think I am?"

The tone in Diamond's voice reassured Liam just a bit. He felt uneasy knowing a man whom Diamond loved dearly had returned and kissed her. But he was pissed to the core in knowing he had kissed without asking.

Diamond took Liam's silence as anger. She did not want him to be angry at her. She didn't realize that Liam was going through his own turmoil of emotion.

"I pushed him off the second my brain registered what had happened. I would never do that to you, Liam, I promise."

By the time Diamond had finished rambling, she had already reached Liam's personal bubble.

"I know you wouldn't do something like that. I trust you, Diamond, don't worry."

A relieved smile dances on her lips. As she takes her husband's hands.

"So what will you do about him?" Liam asks once again.

Diamond shrugs as she massages his hands. "I don't know. I don't want to think about it. Not yet, at least. I'm happy with our situation."

"Our situation?"

"You make me feel at ease, Liam. And I like that bout you."

Placing a soft kiss on his lips, Diamond steps away.

"I'm a bit tired. I will go up and rest now. You should, too."

Climbing about the stairs, Diamond stops halfway through.

"Liam." She says, making him glance up to her.

"You have nothing to worry about."

But he did have something to worry about. Liam watched as his wife's shadow disappeared. The same uneasy feeling filled his chest as he grew anxious from this newfound information.

Lionel was back. The same man Diamond had cried over just a few weeks ago. Although Liam trusted his wife, he was still anxious.

Anxious over Diamond leaving him.

The same could be said for her. Diamond looked at her reflection in the mirror as she took off her makeup. She might have reassured Liam just a few minutes ago, yet her heart felt heavy. She did not know how honest she was. She did not know what her heart was telling her.

Diamond had been pretty set on Liam for the past few weeks. But seeing Lionel again lit up old feelings. Feelings of nostalgia. She and Lionel were happy at one point in their lives.

She couldn't help but think whether she could be happy again with him.
