Diamond was acting strange.
Liam had decided to give his wife the benefit of the doubt but three days has passed and she was still acting strange.
The worst part is Liam didn't even what wrong.
These past few days, Diamond seemed out of it. She was unfocused and barely spoke a word to Liam leaving him feeling a bit hurt.
Diamond was shutting him out and he didn't like it.
Since it was a weekend, Liam had decided to take his wife out. Be it to cheer her up or at least make her speak to him. Diamond had been cooped up in her room the whole day and Liam was going up to try his luck.
"Not today Liam." Diamond immediately denies.
"I'm worried about you Diamond. You've been unfocused ever since you dropped off dinner at the office. A-are you alright? Did something happen?"
The pure worry on Liam's face makes Diamond feel worse. Here she was, in her bedroom moping her ex boyfriend, whilst her husband, who cares for her deeply is concerned.
Liam doesn't deserve this.
"I'm fine. I just don't feel like going out to do anything."
"You don't have to. You just don't seem well."
"I'm fine Liam." Diamond insists, wanting to go back to her bed already. "I'm just going to rest up today. I'll see you later okay?
And with that Diamond shuts the door leaving Liam even more confused.

Diamond knows she was being rude. She knows she was being unfair to Liam but these feelings she couldn't comprehend were taking a toll on her. Not knowing what to do was stressing her out and she hated it.
I hope Liam is not upset. I shouldn't have been rude.
Should I just tell him?
Diamond shakes her head at the crazy thought. What man would happily listen to his wife ramble about an ex? To make matters worse this was an ex whom Diamond still held feelings for.
At the same time, she thought about her feelings for Liam. Did she like him or had she just grown comfortable with him
Isn't that the same thing?
Did I just use Liam to block out all my memories with Lionel? I mean, I still love him.
Right?

Two hours had passed since the couple's last encounter. Liam was staring at the TV not paying attention as his mind was busy thinking of Diamond's behaviour.
"Liam?" Diamond calls out startling him out of his thoughts.
Liam turns his head to see his wife who held an uneasy smile.
"How about that walk to the park?"
The two reach the park in complete silence as neither Diamond nor Liam knew what to say. They found a quiet place, where they sat down staring at the beautiful landscape in front of them.
"I'm sorry I was rude to you. I've been feeling a bit conflicted that's all."
"Why?"
Diamond remains silent, as she blinks away her tears.
"You don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable. I just need to know that you're okay." Liam adds, worried for his wife.
"It's fair you know what's been happening. I mean we are married after all. You have the right to know."
"But I won't force you. I would never do that to you, Diamond."
"I know." She whispers sending a small smile towards him. "That''s why I appreciate you so much."
Upon noticing that Liam had been waiting for Diamond to continue, she turns her head back to the front and gathers her words.
"A few years ago I was in love with this man."
Liam turns his head his attention fully on Diamond.
"Three years ago, that same man walked away and my heart went with him."
