CHAPTER 3.9

It has been few months since I became crown prince.

Many ministers have been against me.

These ministers who have been bribing 1st prince and 3rd prince sees me as an eyesore. Initially, they did try to bribe me. But after continues fails they turned against me.

I have grown on borders, so I don't have that much experience in handling them.

But not having experience and not knowing how to is different.

One thing I don't lack is manpower. My strength is my men who have been trained by me.

They are loyal to me and will do anything as long as they are told.

So, right now their mission is to investigate all minister's illegal dealings.

In these past few months emperor has been giving extra care to me.

He would always patiently teach me and help me deal with matters that are a bit difficult for me to understand. Its surprising to me. I always thought that emperor hated me but instead he has been all nice to me since I came back.

The other day, he was drunk and was crying. He was literally crying with tears in his eyes. He looked like his world just came to an end. He was calling out for my deceased concubine mother.

I can see why he would've abandoned me. If it wasn't for me, my concubine mother wouldn't have died.

Perhaps, I really am an evil star......

If it wasn't for me my father emperor wouldn't have suffered. My concubine mother wouldn't have died, my brother(remember nanny's son) wouldn't have passed away, my nanny wouldn't have gotten sick either. Yes its all my fault.

Back then my nanny told me that back then, I was the one who fell in water and my concubine mother only jumped in to save me.

If it wasn't for me then she wouldn't have died. Why, why must I be the cause of all their sufferings.....

Why......

Why do they all have to suffer because of me?........

Jing yan was still going through severe insomnia. He would also have mental breakdowns once in a while.

Though his breakdowns weren't like other people. He wouldn't scream or cry out. He would just sit there in a daze not letting anyone approach him.

His heart would feel like its frozen. His whole body would heart. He just wants someone to come near him and comfort him. Just tell him that its alright.

But on the same time he would violently push away anyone who was close to him.

No matter who it was....

No one would be able to come near him.

In that moment, Jing yan would repeatedly remember his childhood. He would relive everything he went through.

His body would go through all that pain again.

Finally he would break out in cold sweat.

His whole body would be shaking and then he'll collapse.

After that Jing yan would also get a very high fever.

When Jing yan was at the borders, his condition wasn't this severe, but returning to the capital seems to have triggered all those memories.

In the morning the maids opened the door of Jing yan's room to wake him up.

When they went inside they saw that the prince was drenched in cold sweat.

His face looked like it was red.

And he had a very high fever.

Maids hurriedly send someone to call for a physician and inform the emperor..

Physician got their as soon as he could.

Emperor also came along.

When the emperor saw Jing yan. His eyes turned red.

Physician hurriedly took Jing yans pulse and prescribed medicines. Maids were send to boil the medicine.

While physician told the emperor about the Prince's physique.

"Your majesty, his royal highness the Prince's physical condition is not optimistic. This incident happened because of severe mental trauma. His royal highness has a very severe mental trauma. His physical condition isn't optimistic either. His royal highness has old wounds that weren't taken care of properly, this slave will do everything in its power to help keep his royal highness' condition at bay."

Royal physician then went to check the medicine.

Emperor excused everyone from the room and looked at his son's face.

His face looked just like his concubine. His lips and face structure was just like hers.

His eyes and nose looked like emperor's.

His face was on paler side.

Lying down like this his face was just like his concubine.

This was his son, he will never ever abandon him again.

Causing him to be hurt and left on his own.

He will protect him, this time, he won't disappoint him.

So just once, please just once, give me a chance, please.
