Whumpee was rescued from a factory where they were forced to work with textiles all day. Once rescued, all their clothes had to be hand-made because Whumpee recognized the clothes that came from the store as clothes they or their friends worked on.
Caretaker made them a blanket and Whumpee tearfully accepted as they knew exactly how much work went into making it. They protected it with their life and actually fought back when Whumper attempted to destroy the blanket upon abducting Whumpee.
"Fine! Keep your stupid blanket! You'll pay for it, just you wait."
