After the incident that happened at the club last night, I took a taxi and went back to my hotel room, where I immediately took a warm shower to wash off the alcohol that had drenched my clothes.

My emotions then get the best of me and I broke down in tears, crying loudly in the bathroom, because i was upset with the way the situation had unfolded.

After a while, i regained composure and got dressed and decided to call Malachi.

He didn't answer the phone on my first attempt, which wasn't surprising, given his dislike for interruptions during his sleep or during work.

But despite being aware of this, I called him again, and thankfully, he picked up the phone, his voice deep, and heavy with sleep and grogginess.

I remained silent for a while to gather my thoughts and try to find the right words to explain the situation to him, since he had warned me repeatedly not to go on this trip with the others.

But he somehow knew that something was wrong with me and demanded an explanation, so I mustered the strength to convey to him the details of what had happened.

At first, I was nervous that he might abruptly end our call or potentially engage in a heated argument with me, due to his prior warning, where he explicitly stated that I should not contact him in the event of any problems occurring during my trip.

But to my surprise, he listened to me patiently and empathetically as I vented to him, and he even went ahead and scheduled a flight for me to return home the next morning.

So I started to pack my suitcase in the wee hours of the morning at 2:00am, while Malachi stayed on the call to cheer me up and offer some well-intentioned advice, reminding me that not everyone possesses the same kind-heartedness that I do, and cautioned me about the existence of inauthentic people.

Literally my unpaid therapist.

The process of packing my suitcase proved to be a lengthy one since it wasn't until almost 4:00 am that I finally managed to complete it.

Can imagine? 2 hours me take the man outta him sleep fah.

We then bid goodnight and end the call, and i grab a few hours of sleep before waking up again, just 2 hours later, to get ready to go to the airport.
