"Oh my gosh! Nandʼyan na si Penny!"
"Weh? Is that really her? She looks so different."
"She looks hot!"
"Namali ba siya ng pinuntahan? Mukha siyang galing sa burol."
I COULDN'T help but grin when I heard the numerous whispers of the students I passed by. Some bowed their heads to show respect while some could only look at me like they were in such a daze. Nevertheless, everyone looks stunned seeing me like this — seeing me as a whole new different person.
The hallway was eerily quiet yet whispers could be heard. Everyone was looking at me like Iʼm some famous actress who visited their school. I could only smirk, ignoring them as my violet stilettos left crisp thuds on the marbled floor.

Napatigil ako sa paglalakad kasabay ng pagtahimik ng buong kapaligiran. I could feel my newly polished nails digging deeper through both of my palms, turning my heel to look at the girl who made my ears bleed.

Tumango-tango naman ang babae habang unti-unti namang napalingon ang kasama niya sa 'kin. Her eyes widened when she saw me behind them. Ngumiti ako sa kaniya habang nagsimula naman siyang manginig sa takot.
"Oh, 'nyare sa 'yo? Baʼt ka nangingi—" Natigilan ang babae nang sa wakas, lumingon na rin siya sa 'kin. Nginitian ko rin siya at katulad ng kaibigan niya, nagsimula na rin siyang manginig sa sobrang takot habang nanlalaki ang mga matang nakatitig sa 'kin.
