PENNY
THE cold wind brushed off my skin but I didn't mind it. I was too caught up with my emotions that I failed to realize that I was already in the town's park, sitting alone on an empty bench under the vast darkness of the night sky.
Hindi ko namalayan na dito na pala ako dinala ng mga paa ko. Madilim na ang gabi ngunit mabuti na lang at may mga poste na nagbibigay liwanag sa paligid. Nagliliwanag din ang mga bituin at ang buwan sa gitna ng madilim na kalangitan.
I took a deep breath as I cupped my face with my cold bare hands.
Hindi ko alam kung may mukha pa akong maihaharap sa mga magulang ko. That was the first time that I ever stood up for myself. I felt relieved yet frightened at the same time.
I'm not sure what will happen after this night, but I am sure of one thing — and that is I regret nothing. I'm not regretting that I finally managed to stand up for what I want.

Suddenly, I felt something vibrate from the pocket of my pants. Napakunot-noo ako nang makuha ko ang phone ko. Looks like this is the only thing I brought with me when I left the mansion earlier.
I opened it and saw messages from familiar contacts. Napatingin ako sa pangalan ni Clifford na nangunguna sa mga ito. Even though I was having second thoughts, I still decided to open his message.
