Chapter 34

Shehnaaz woke up to an unfamiliar room
It took her a few mins to fully open her eyes and look at her surroundings properly
Once her vision was clear she saw Dr. Mallik looking at her with relief

Looking at her regaining her consciousness Dr. Mallik's eyes lit up and he rushed to her side

Shehnaaz tried sitting up and Dr. Mallik was happy to help.

Shehnaaz: where am I?

She tried saying but her throat felt like dessert
Dr. Mallik was quick to fill up a glass and hand it to her
Shehnaaz gulped it like she was thirsty since birth

Shehnaaz: Sidharth kaha hai?

Dr Mallik smiled and answered

Dr Mallik: yahi hai.. kabse baitha tha tumhare paas.. sabka dimag kharab karke rakha tha usne ke kab uthegi toh maine ussey chemist ke paas bhej dia..
Pure ghar mai shanti hai tabse.

Shehnaaz giggled.. Dr Abu Mallik was a fun loving man who was of her father's age.
When Shehnaaz was brought in their lives by Sidharth the only person she was comfortable other than Sidharth and Ali was Dr. Mallik
Since then he has been a father figure in her life and the major driving force for her to persuade medicine.

Shehnaaz: I was out for how much time?

Dr Mallik: 20 hours.. bahut khoon baha hai tumhara.. 4 stitches liye hai maine .. dhyan rakhna hoga..

Shehnaaz nodded as an obedient child
But got startled by the loud noise of the door opening

There stood Sidharth with a deshleved look and a worried expression
But as soon as he saw her looking at him with her big doe eyes hid eyes immediately often and he rushed towards her and engulfed her in a big bear hug

Dr Mallik smiled at the duo and left silently to give them some privacy

Sidharth broke the hug and cupped her small face in his big palms and kissed her entire face
He kept peppering kisses all over her face
Tears kept falling from here eyes and he kept drinking them not allowing her to waste her precious tears

After what felt like forever he stopped and hugged her again

Sidharth: I am so sorry baby... I am so sorry

Shehnaaz freed herself from his hold and looked at him

Shehnaaz: teri koi galti nahi hai Sidharth..

Sidharth: I couldn't keep you safe my love.. mere hote hue tujhe koi kidnap karne succeed ho gaya.. I couldn't protect you..

Shehnaaz shook her head in denial

Shehnaaz: sab apne hath mai nahi hota bebu.. mai wapis aa gai.. pata hai kaise?

Sidharth shook his head in no

Shehnaaz: teri di hui training ki wajah se.. tu nahi toh teri seekh ne mujhe bachaya... Pure warehouse ko aag laga ke aai hai teri Shehnaaz.. kaise bol sakta hai ke tune protect nahi kara mujhe?

Sidharth was looking at her with mixed emotions.. but the one emotion which was evident was pride.. his girl was one of a kind
He couldn't say anything.. he was speechless so he did what could calm his inner fire

He kissed her.. he kissed her till his heart was relieved that his mate is here with him.. he kissed her with all the longing.. he kissed her with all his love
Shehnaaz did not waste anytime in responding to his love.. she wrapped her arms around his neck and her fingers automatically entangled with his hair..
Both poured their emotions through the kiss.. they kissed eachother till their hearts content.

After what felt like forever they parted.. both their breathing was ragged.. Sidharth gave a big kiss on her forehead and engulfed her in his arms.. and Shehnaaz snuggled as much as she could in her safe heaven.

But their peace was broken by Shehnaaz's stomach
It growled like a baby seal
Sidharth chuckled and she turned pink

Sidharth: baby ko bhookh lagi hai?

Shehnaaz: tu mera mazak uda raha hai Sidharth

Sidharth let out a full blown laugh and picked her up like a baby and started walking downstairs

Sidharth: let's calm the baby seal shouting in your stomach

Shehnaaz giggled and clung to him like a baby Koala

The moment she was downstairs Kushal ran towards her and hugged her

Kushal: I am so glad that tu safe hai.. kamaal kar dia tune toh.. jo kaam ham sab milke nahi kar sake tune akele kar dia.

Shehnaaz gave him a proud look.. her face beaming with happiness

Kushal gave a peck on forehead and ushered her to go to her man who was looking at their conversation with a tiny smile

Kushal and Sidharth exchanged a look but as soon as Shehnaaz came near him his eyes softened and he held out his hand for her and she gladly accepted it

He sat on the head seat and pulled her to sit on his lap.. which she accepted without any hesitation.. she settled on his lap comfortably and he began feeding her

All the men were looking at them with contention and respect..
Everyone was aware about the Devil who resides inside their boss .. even Shehnaaz but instead of being scared of him she was here.. sitting on his lap in all her glory..
He knew that the Devil would set the world on fire but wouldn't let a flame touch her .. that was the depth of his love for her and she and only she had the magic to calm the Devil inside him..

After feeding her properly Sidharth cleand her face and spoke

Sidharth: now that your tummy is full it's time for rest baby.. why don't you go and take a nap?

Shehnaaz knew that it was not a request but an order..

Shehnaaz: kuch puchu ussey pehle?

Sidharth: anything

Shehnaaz: hum kaha hai?

Sidharth: safehouse

Shehnaaz: Ali aur Heera kaha hai Sidharth?

Sidharth sighed.. he knew this was coming

Sidharth: Heera theek hai....thodi shock mai hai.. rest kar rahi hai..

Shehnaaz was growing impatient

Shehnaaz: Ali kaha hai Sidharth?

Sidharth sighed and spoke

Shehnaaz: he was shot.. very near to his heart.. Doctors ne goli toh nikal di hai.. par still he is critical and is under observation

Shehnaaz's eyes teared up..

Shehnaaz: tune mujhe pehle kyu nahi bataya Sidharth?
Ali ki aisi condition hai toh hum yaha kyu hai abhi tak? Hum hospital mai kyu nai hai?

She yelled.. Sidharth's jaw clenched..

Sidharth: tu mujhe behosh mili thi Shehnaaz.. koi random hotel room mai.. yaha aane ke baad bhi 20 ghante tak tujhe hosh nahi aya tha.. tujhe lagta hai mai aise mai tujhe kahi aur leke jaunga?

He gritted out

Shehnaaz ran towards him and hugged him

Shehnaaz: mujhe uske paas jana hai Sidharth.. woh guilt mai hoga ke woh mujhe bacha nahi paya.. please mujhe uske paas leke chal..

Sidharth sighed and wrapped his arms around her

Sidharth: tu upar jaake rest kar.. jaldi tu uske paas hogi.. I need to deal with something.. I promise you that he is under the best care..

Shehnaaz nodded and started going towards their room
As soon as Sidharth heard the room door getting closed he looked at Kushal and spoke

Sidharth: let's show the world why they shouldn't mess with the King.
