"Now that I think about it, where's your brother Luffy?"

I perked up at the question, just now realizing that the freckled man was gone. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I stared at the scorching sand. Usually I paid close attention to the man, considering that my heart was rather fond of him, but it seems I completely forgot about him.

Perhaps my heart is moving on?

A bittersweet smile replaced my frown as I fiddled with my cloak. I didn't know wether I was happy or sad that the freckled man didn't take up my mind. Before the strawhats, Ace was my only connection with the outside world; he was the only thing I thought about when it came to escaping Sinthaya. I suppose Luffy changed that for me.

My gaze shifts over to the captain who walked with a bright smile on his face. His onyx eyes caught my gaze and his smile widened, but before he could say anything his older brother called out his name.

And for the first time in forever, my heart did not skip a beat. It didn't falter at Ace's voice like it usually did and although I still felt butterflies in my stomach, it was apparent that my heart had begun to move on.

"Anyways! Look Luffy! I brought a bunch of great food and water!" Ace grinned, pointing his thumb to the food and water behind him.

Sanji and the others caught up as the cook thanked Ace, saying it'll keep us from dying for the next couple of days.

I watched as Vivi looked at the supply with worry as she carefully got off the camel and asked him if he stole it from the village, voice laced with concern.

"Of course not!" Ace smiled reassuringly at her. "The rebel army gave me it."

"Rebel army?" Vivi and I spoke at the same time, the blue haired princess more startled than me as I was more confused than startled.

"Ah," Ace glanced towards me before giving Vivi a closed eye smile. "I should say 'clearly fake revel army' to be more precise. The villagers should be grateful they're completely fooled. They're actually just some hoodlums."

My lips pursed at the thought of some brainless idiots pulling the heartstrings of innocent villagers.

Vivi didn't like the sound of that either so now here we were hiding behind some rocks as the boys try to intimidate the fake rebel soldiers into leaving or manning up.

"This one seems especially spineless," Nami stated with the same irritated look she gets when Usopp tells an unbelievable lie.

Vivi and I agreed as we nodded our heads, watching Luffy throw a punch at the tall man that seemed to be the leader.

The guy laid there for a little and my heart clenched at the sound of kids telling him to get up. As Luffy went to throw another punch the guy caught his wrist, a determined look on his face even though he knew he would lose.

My head shifts back a little in shock, impressed with the man's resolve. He was showing a whole new look of bravery that even I have yet to possess and I admired him greatly for it.

Maybe they aren't as brainless idiots as I thought.

A smile crept on my face as I watched his buddies follow his lead, also holding determined looks on their face.

Vivi signaled Usopp and we all ran, well the boys ran, us girls rode Lashes—the perverted camel—away.

"Oi, one of you get switch with me. I'm dying." Usopp begged, his tongue hanging out with desperation as he dragged himself, his feet slugging behind him.
