Third Person POV

The night sky provided the backdrop for this surreal encounter, as a full moon cast its eerie glow upon the scene. The group of Chimera Ants drew closer, the trio could see the glint of their sharp claws and the malicious gleam in their beady eyes.

Right now, Gon, Rin, and Killua found themselves surrounded by a swarm of ferocious Chimera Ants. The creatures, with their strange amalgamations of human and animal features, emanated a sinister aura as they closed in.

It was obvious that once they had confronted one Chimera, the others would soon follow. However, their goal of retrieving the Dragon Ball had been successful. All that remained was to find a way out of the NGL forest... alive.

"Now then... shall we decide how we kill you and in what order?" The talking human-frog began. "You have three choices. One is; Decide which order you want to fight. Two; try to escape. Three; surrender and let us capture you."

"Option one allows you to fight us one-on-one and you may survive. I don't recommend the second option. You'll anger us, and you'll end up suffering more as a result. Option three would be the worst choice. That would anger us even more than option two." The frog kept talking while the other Chimera jeered behind him.

"So, what will you do?"

Gon, Rin, and Killua exchanged looks before turning their attention to the enemies in front of them.

"We couldn't ask for a better deal." Gon flashed a grin, his resolve shining brightly in his eyes.

"It's just like the trick tower in the Hunter Exam," Killua added.

"That sure brings back memories," Rin mused.

**************

The showdown began with Gon as he stood with his stern demeanor and unwavering courage. Despite the danger, Gon's resolve remained unbroken. He took a deep breath and steadied himself, channeling his Nen to prepare for the impending battle with an armadillo chimera. The creature was a hulking mass of muscle and bone, its thick armored shell gleaming in the moonlight.

"What decides the end?" Gon asked.

"That should be obvious! Whoever dies first loses." The armadillo responded.

"We can't just surrender?" The armadillo grew furious at what Gon had said.

"Are you crazy! If you lose we'll feed you to the queen. If you don't defeat me, you're guaranteed to die!"

"Yeah, I'm okay with that. But there's no need for you to die. If I beat you, I won't eat you. If you surrender, you'll live. But if you lose, you must promise never to eat another human." As Gon spoke, the other chimera laughed.

"Gon can be quite scary, huh?" Rin made a note of it, smiling awkwardly, while Killua broke a sweat.

'You just realized that?'

"You're dead!"

"You're dead!"
