CHAPTER 37 -Heavens Arena-

Rin POV

After the encounter with Hisoka, the three of us went to Wing-san's residence hoping that he will teach us the truth about Nen.

He began with the introduction of Nen and from that, I can relate to the term of Ki I'm using. To sum it all up, Ki and Nen are basically the same things.

"Now I get it. There isn't much of a difference from what I'm learning. Aura is like an energy that comes from within humans. Just like what I called Ki. In other words, my assumption was right all along, only the term we use is different." I concluded.

"So you've known about Nen?" Wing-san seemed surprised hearing that I actually know about life energy.

"More or less, I'm a Kamesenryu disciple. So I've learned a thing or two about energy control. But I didn't call it Nen, instead, I call it Ki." I continued earning a slight nod from Wing-San.

"If my assumption is correct, we can only defend ourselves with this so-called Nen from someone who can use Nen, right?" I questioned receiving a brief explanation from Wing-san.

"That's right. If you attack a helpless person, with ill intent, you can use aura to kill. Only one thing can protect you from someone who uses Nen." He said as he started to walk near the wall. "You must also learn to use Nen. You must use Ten for defense. Block the other person's aura with your own. Otherwise..." Our eyes followed his every move when suddenly he placed his palm on the wall.

That's when the wall started to cave in as he released a wave of energy through his palm.

BOOM!!!

"Your body will be crushed." He concluded.

Gon and Killua looked at him in surprise but since I can basically do the same thing (or even worse), I'm pretty much used to it.

As the hour grows late, Wing's lecture has reached its climax. I can tell that Killua was anxious especially when Wing-san told us how long it will take to master Nen. And I think he probably had it when he suddenly burst.

"That's too long...we need to learn Ten, and pass Hisoka's Nen barrier before midnight!" Killua yelled.

"Killua, you don't have to worry, I assure you, it won't even take you guys an hour to master it." I tried to assure him but it's not working as he retorted back.

"It's easy for you to say, you already know how to use it!"

Leaving a soft sigh, I said. "Energy control is easy, I can already master it on my first try..."

"...Although I'm an exception since I'm a Saiyan." I said between my close teeth not wanting them to hear especially the alert Killua.

"In any case, I can tell that both of you have the potential. So go ahead and try anything on them. You'd be surprised." I averted my attention to Wing-san and a mischievous smirk made its way across my lips.

The look on his face says it all, he's reluctant to continue. Well, it's too late. Because once you give us a clue, you don't expect us to back down. Especially from these curious boys.

It took a while but he finally reached a decision.

"Then, I guess you'll have to try the aggressive method." He let out a sigh.

"Will it be fast enough?" Killua asked, worried.

"That will depend on you. I will now direct my aura toward you. This is known as Hatsu, which I demonstrated earlier." Wing-san extended his hand towards us.

"...!" Gon and Killua were alerted by his action as they let their guard up from his Hatsu. But turned out he was just giving a brief explanation as he continued to notify them about the danger of using the aggressive method.
