CHAPTER 67 -Greed Island-

Rin POV

So this is what it looks like to be in a screening test? There sure are a lot of people here. I could tell that some of them have commendable strength but I should know better than to judge based on their Nen. Most Nen masters tend to hide their strength after all.

Long boring hours had passed and we're still sitting in this wretched seat! When are we going to get in the line for God's sake?! This is driving me insane!

I peered to look at Killua who was likely in very deep thought. Let me guess, a bullet train must've crossed that brilliant head of his. Traveling all across his nervous system just to get to a point. I mentally sighed. This is gonna be hard to tackle.

Snap.

I snapped my fingers beside his left ear but there wasn't any sign of reaction coming from him. Oh, come on, even a rabbit would flinch its ears! I snapped my fingers again and again but he seemed to enjoy the silent treatment he's giving me.

A cross-popped vein bulged above my forehead as the corner of my lips twitched.

An idea flashed, a slow wicked smile spread across my lips. A gleam of excitement glimmered in my obsidian eyes as I inched closer to Killua's left ear, just enough not to brush against it and...

Blow.

Killua's hairs stood erect as if he felt icicles running down his spine, a chill that had nothing to do with the temperature went through him. He jolted up from his seat and whipped his head towards the perpetrator covering his reddening left ear as his face grew warm. Let's not disregard the incredulous look he's giving me, it was priceless!

I could only laugh hysterically at his reaction while clutching my aching stomach trying hard to keep my composure. Wouldn't wanna make a fool out of myself... in which I already did, but who cares!

I was still laughing my ass off when Killua snapped. "Is it really necessary for you to be joking around?"

Once I could finally catch my breath I looked at him with a mocking smile. "Necessary? No. Hilarious? Absolutely!"

Thus, the series of laughter continued. Killua couldn't suppress the twinge of shame as his cheeks blushed. A cross-popped vein appeared on his forehead in which he dismissed by rolling his eyes.

Once I was able to calm myself, I said. "So, what do you got?"

"Huh?"

"Don't tell me you got nothing? You do realize you've been engrossed for hours, right?" I had my chin propped by a hand.

Killua almost had an international conference in his head debating whether or not to share what was on his mind. I'd say he won't even say a single word unless I did something drastic.

"Well, if you got nothing, I should be on the move--"

I stood up from the seat ready to leave when a strong force seized my hand pulling me back. The next thing I realized, my butt was already grounded on the seat and the stinging pain brought me back to reality.

"Sit down!"

I was utterly dumbstruck.

"Look, from now on, you're not permitted to act on your cuz the last time you decided on something, your 'brain' was set on fire," Killua said matter-of-factly. Let's not forget how he emphasizes the word 'brain', it was a total sense of mockery if I'd known better.

I let out a scoff and crossed my arms again. "Who made you the boss?"

"Me. I did. Just now. Now stick your butt on the chair, and wait till I decided the best move!" He clarified.
