CHAPTER 1 -Hunter Exam-

Rin POV

After a few weeks of wandering aimlessly, I discovered that everything crucial in this world revolves around the Hunter Exam. They said that anyone who completed the Hunter Exam could become a Hunter and do almost anything in this world, even locating the Dragon Balls. I'm sure I'd learn something new about the Dragon Balls if I took the exam. So, the first task on my to-do list was to learn more about the exam. As a result, I had travelled to several locations for my personal quest.Now that I think about it, I must've been miles away from home now.

'Home'... Just the word "home" made my shoulders sag, like if a tremendous weight had been placed on my back.

'I miss home...' I sighed.

When I felt the warmth next to me, my hand naturally sought for my purse, where I felt the warmth of the ball within. I took the ball from my pocket and stared at it for a few moments.

'The Four-Star Dragon Ball...'

During my travels, I've always had the four-star Dragon Ball with me. Like the ball itself made me feel unstoppable — as if nothing could stop me from accomplishing my dreams.

'Can't give up yet, though!' My eyes were ablaze with determination as I gave a fist-pump to the air.

At long last, I had arrived at the harbour. Supposedly, I could find a ship there that could take me to the examination location. However, as expected, it was crowded. My pupils dilated as I took in the scene.

'I've never seen so many people before!'

Looking around, I felt even more helpless.

'How do I know which ship to board?' I pondered before taking a deep breath. Then I gathered my courage and approached the first person I saw, thinking he would tell me about the Hunter Exam.

"Excuse me, hello, mister," I politely called out to a man carrying a briefcase as he walked by. The man dressed a full suit and ties, as if he were going to work at an office. But that's not the case at all.

He turned around and looked at me. Then, he raised an eyebrow as if he were saying; "What do you want?"

"Do you know about a ship going to Dolle Island?"

Instead of responding, he shrugged and walked away as if he hadn't heard a word I said.

'Wow, what an outright snub. I guess this is what I get for being polite?'

The next person I spoke to was more than happy to share some information with me. It was his recommendation that I purchase a ticket for Dolle Island. It took me a while to get on board, but I did. Unfortunately, once on board, I noticed a number of dangerous-looking men.

Who wouldn't feel the chills? When all of them were looking daggers at me at the same time. I felt like I had walked into a completely new world, which is understandable given that I had been living in the mountains for four years. However, I shall not let them intimidated me!

'I'm a Saiyan warrior.' I chanted those words to calm my nerves. Being a Saiyan sure gave me the courage I needed.

"What's a kid doing here?" One of them chastised. The corner of his mouth was curved upward in a mocking grin as he cocked his chin. That sight in his eyes gave the impression that he was peering down at a mere worm. A vein popped on my head as I gave a black look at the man. Somehow, it's like I hated to be looked down on just because I'm a kid, and not to mention a girl!

"I'm sorry, but do you have a problem with that, old man?" I gave him a sweet smile.

"You got some nerve there, little girl." Now, it was his turn to have a vein popping out of his head.
