3rd persons pov

The old wooden door to the Byers shed was ripped open by Hopper, who turned on the light and looked around.

"Yeah, this'll work." He said with a decisive nod.

The shed was emptied in a matter of minutes thanks to Hopper.

Then they all set to work on their plan.

Nancy and Steve now stood alone in the shed, having been tasked with the job of covering the walls.

They worked in complete silence for quite a while, besides the constant ripping of duct tape and sharp thuds from the staple gun.

"Hey." Nancy said as Steve hopped down from the stool he had been standing on.

"What you did, um, helping the kids... that was... that was really cool." Nancy said with a gentle smile.

"Yeah." Steve muttered.

"Those little shits are real trouble, you know?" He said, returning to his work.

"Believe me, I know." Nancy said, ripping off a piece of duct tape.

"I may be a pretty shitty boyfriend but it turns out I'm actually a pretty damn good babysitter." Steve said, sighing.

Just around the corner of the yard, Dustin and Lucas were looking for useful trash.

"Hey. I'm... I'm sorry about Dart and all. I guess I just thought he was my friend." Dustin said, breaking the silence.

"I was wrong. I broke the rule of law. So if you want my girlfriend to take over my spot in the party, I understand." Dustin said.

"She's not your girlfriend." Lucas said, laughing and shaking his head in disbelief.

"Bet you didn't see us holding hands in the bus, Lucas." Dustin said with a small smirk.

"That's because you weren't." Lucas rolled his eyes.

"Maybe. But I could feel it." Dustin said.

"Feel what?" Lucas asked.

"The electricity." Dustin replied, smiling goofily.

"Man, that was probably just me and y/n." Lucas said and Dustin chuckled, gathering his findings and walking away.

Max and Mike were in the kitchen, Mike rifling though cupboards as Max duct taped cardboard together.

"I get it now." Max said with a fond smile.

"Get what?" Mike grumbled.

"You know? Why Y/n is your Druid. El too, I get why she was your mage." Max said.

"What?" Mike asked, finally turning towards the girl.

"Well, the whole "Y/n being a total badass when faced against those dog things" ordeal was kind of a tip-off." Max said with a smile.

"Lucas and y/n. They told me about her. El, I mean." Max added.

"Yeah, well they shouldn't have." Mike spat.

"And just because you know the truth, doesn't mean you're in our party. You do know that, right?" Mike added.

"Yeah, I know." Max said, quickly.

"I mean, why would you want a stupid zoomer in your party anyways?" She said sadly.

Mike returned to looking through the cupboards.
