" How was y'all's break?" Malea asked Alyssa and I as we walked to class. Malea's eyes lingered in mine, a growing smirk plastered on her face.
I hide my smile, biting my lip. " Mine was... pretty good, honestly."
Alyssa quirked a brow, looking between Malea and I. " Am I missing something?"
" No, not r- "
" 'Phesian got a crush on my brother!" Malea teased, bumping shoulders with mine.
Alyssa snapped her neck towards me, gasping loudly. " What?!"
I groaned, hiding my face in my hands. " No I don't! And It's not like that, We're just friends!"
" Chile anytime someone says ' we're just friends' doesn't mean their just friends." Alyssa remarked, snorting loudly.
Our spring break lasted for two weeks. And in those weeks, I tried my best to get my mind off Adonis. And it never works, no matter what I do. I sighed, gripping my tote bag tightly, " Guys come on, I don't have a crush on him. Besides he isn't interested in me,"
" That's not what he told me," Malea sung, her grin widening.
I furrowed my brows, " What are you talking about?"
" I can't tell you, I swore to him I would stay out of it." She giggled. Malea turned her attention to Alyssa, who seemed to be deep in thought.
" What about you Lyssa? How was your spring break?"
" Uneventful." Alyssa says nonchalantly. But I knew that wasn't the case. She called me and was bawling her eyes out about the break up and how she didn't know what to do next. Of course, I was there to listen and even give advice but advice can only go so far when someone is ready to listen.
Feeling my phone buzz, I grabbed it from my pocket and looked at the notification. As I opened it, my heart start racing in my chest.
