"My priority is to make my favourite person happy.
The one I look at in the mirror every day.
Why shall I be listening to the world's rule?"

"In the barren fields of heart, your footsteps are the quenching rain

Two days later. Exams over. Like every other student of each century, the hearts of the students were chilled with cool ice vacation yet burning with the fire of results pressure.

It was a serene evening. With the drowning Sun to the West. Orange tinges peeled off in the sky. Cherry Blossom, the shedding of the leaves was emptying many bottled-up feelings altogether. One of the leaves was of Anurag.

Meanwhile, Getting bored in the silent hostel. Anurag, neither rejected nor accepted her confession. His reply was still making her restless. Bondita decided to take a walk to the nearby park from the hostel. It was the same park that was holding her many memories of the past 19 months. Plus, more memories of the upcoming future.

It was five in the evening. No doubt that little kids with their parents & nannies were wandering all around. Old couples were sitting on wooden benches spending another beautiful end of the day. Some adults played stolen eye games with timidness

Her roaming eyes paused at the youngman sitting beneath the shade of the tree. Back resting against the tree. Legs stretched, one upon one. Book open. Hand etching words on it. A smile as subtle as the slow moonlit entering the darkened room. Anurag was definitely the light. Mixed with varied shades.

She stepped and stood in front of his eyes. He lifted his face giving a smile. His face was just calm & composed as the hushing seashores. There wasn't any surprise in his eyes at seeing her rather his onyx eyes gestured for her to grab a seat.

She in a trance returned the smile & sat beside him on the ground, cross leg, quietly.

A stillness prevailed. She with her numerous questions, remained quiet. He with his multiple answers chose to be silent.

"Orange suits you well, Miss", Anurag said breaking the gap.

Bondita looked at her orange saree before glancing at him. "T-Thank You"

He grinned.

"What are you reading?", She asked smiling.

He forwarded the book to her.
"AMIDST THE CROWD, I WAS ALONE"
She read the title and looked at him.
Her gaze held question. Why is he reading this type of book?

"Still surrounded by the crowd, many remain lonely. With people physically but in mind- Lonely. Life is becoming like that. That's why, Reading some familiar characters in the book-- the one who is stuck in similar situations like us, we start making an invisible connection with them mentally. Emotional Attachment. It doesn't feel awkward either", He spoke feebly.
