Ah, Anurag, the perfect little man, or so it seems. Bondita often spoke about him in a way that created a vivid image of him in his mind. But not to forget, he's still just a boy. And of course, Anirudh Roy Chowdhury cannot bear the thought of his Bondita being alone with that lad.

Because of trust?

Ha! That's a joke. Even the most trustworthy individuals cannot be trusted when it comes to Bondita. Oh no, he must have a caretaker who keeps tabs on her every move. His trust issues were ridiculous when he asked the hostel official to monitor the activities of Ms Margaret and Bondita. He used to call the school monthly to inquire about Bondita's grades and performance. He was constantly plagued by fear for her well-being. Blame his trust issues for that.

Anirudh? Anirudh just wanted to keep Anurag at bay to prevent any potential missteps from these teenagers. He couldn't have them taking any steps forward that might go awry.

He was that protective. Overprotective in a parallel universe.

Oh, how impressive it was when he managed to contain his desire to scream like a lunatic at the boy for whom Bondita chanted the name with supposed admiration. And as for him? He couldn't even prevent her from getting into the accident that unfolded right before his very eyes. What a jerk!

Anirudh clenched his jaw tightly, so severe that one could see his molars grinding to the point that they might fall off his gums. But he was just in his mid-twenties. No worries, healthy gums.

He silently gestured for him to take a seat. Shyama hurriedly sat back on his seat seeking the heat of the environment. Polar to Anurag and adjacent to Celicia.

Anurag couldn't help but let out an audible gulp, feeling the weight of an icy gaze firmly fixed upon him. He couldn't help but tap his foot on the ground and absentmindedly fiddle with his fingers while sitting on the bench.

Fingering his closed red teary eyes severely, Anirudh sat next to him. Composing his posture, putting a cover on his concerns for the young woman lying inside the operation theatre wall. He looked at Anurag.

He interlocked his fingers bracing them on his thighs he leaned in meeting the downcasted eyes of Anurag. Anurag startled and sucked on a deep breath.

Anirudh inhaled sharply and hissed in his hoarse voice, "Do saal ke chhote bachhe ho kya tum dono? (Are you both two-year-old toddlers?) That you both were so engrossed in your fictional world that you didn't acknowledge that you were playing on the road!".

"Bondita's Sakhabababu, I-I-"

"Seems like you forget that when someone is talking, you shouldn't interrupt them. Probably not in the case of an elder"
