"So" Lauren asks me when I arrive at school the next day "how was your date with Paul Lahote?"

"Boring" I answer

"Did you two" Mike asks when we are over there "you know? Do it?"

"God no" shaking my head "if I wanted to I would have fucked him on the first date, did you know that La Push has weekly bonfires?"

Nodding their heads "Yeah, we're going" Angela tells me "we asked your sister and she wasn't interested, want to go with us?" I nod my head.

"What did Chief Swan" Tyler asks "think when you came home from your date?"

"Forbade me to ever go out with Paul" I was so grateful when he said that, Paul kissed me goodnight and today he sent me a text of how great tonight was. He says he can't wait to our next date, he asked about doing it again soon like the bonfire but if I can go with friends I will.

~Friday~

"Wow" Mike whistles when he and the others see me enter Tyler's van "you look really hot" I'm wearing a black top with blue skinny jeans and black boots with a small heel. Since it's cold out I'm wearing a black leather jacket. I'm wearing some smokey eye and red lipstick with my hair down in soft curls.

"Thanks" looking at the others as they are also dressed up but not as dressed up as me "did I dress up too much or"

"No" shaking their heads, Lauren tells me "many other girls get dressed up like you, even more for the ones who are really into Paul Lahote"

"Okay" nodding my head "so what happens at bonfires? I've never been to one" I've been to parties at abandoned houses or warehouses or when parents aren't home, I've never been to a bonfire. Is it the same?

"Really?" Eric asks "but didn't you say"

"I've partied at abandoned warehouses" explaining to them "when parents aren't home, haunted houses"

"Well it's the same" Jessica says "as those, don't worry stay by us"

"Okay" nodding my head, I'd rather not be near Paul since he has been blowing up my phone about going on a date. I probably should say something but no.

Once we are at the bonfire, I stay by my friends side as I meet new people and get some beer from the keg. "Hey Hela!" Looking over I see that kid Jacob, I think his name is.

"Jacob right?" I ask as I'm next to the keg stand.

He nods his head "Guys this is Helena aka Hela Swan, Hela these are my buds Quil and Embry"

"Hi" waving my hand to them "nice to meet you both?"

"Is Bella here?" Jacob asks looking around

Shaking my head no as his friends snicker "Sorry, your true love is at home"

"She isn't my true love" Jacob denies "and what about you? Dating the man whore of La Push?"

"We aren't dating" I say

"That's not what Paul is telling" Embry says "he says you two are an item"

"What?!" Exclaiming "we are not together, we've gone on one date"

"So" Quil asks "your available?"

"How old are you three?"

"Sixteen" they say

Raising my eyebrow "No offense" I say "but I don't date or fuck guys who are younger than me"

"Ouch!" Embry fakes being shot, putting a hand on his chest "does your sister feel the same?"

"She's too enthralled with Edward Cullen" I tell them as I finish the beer "does this place have something stronger?"

"There's the secret punch" Quil points, I go over and pour myself some of this as the guys are next to me.

"What do you mean" Jacob asks "she's enthralled with Edward Cullen?"

"He hasn't come to school this week" I tell them "and apparently something happened so her thoughts are mainly on him" When I go to drink my drink, someone takes it "Hey!" I see Paul next to us with my drink "What the fuck?"

"Your underage"

"Everyone here" waving my hand around "is underage"

"Your the chief's daughter" he says "what kind of boyfriend am I if I let you drink?"

"First off" I tell him "if I want to drink, I'll fucking drink" yeah with alcohol my tongue is more loose like with many people "and second we aren't dating"

"Aren't we?" He asks confused

Shaking my head no "We went on one date and no offense but I don't see you like that"

"But you have to" he says confused

"No" Jacob shakes his head "she doesn't, fuck off Lahote"

"Stay out of this Black" Paul growls, I see people around look towards us since it's more quiet.

"I'm just" I leave the two idiots but Paul grabs my arm "what?"

"I want to talk to you"

"I'll make this clear" I tell him loud enough "I'm not interested in you Paul" normally when you do this in public it gets the person to back off, I've seen it before "go fuck someone else at this party, don't fuck me" pulling away I go to my friends who look at me shocked "come on" taking Lauren's hand "let's go dance"

She nods her head and people go talk to one another as we dance, soon other people start to dance. Feeling eyes on me, I look over to see Paul with Jared. Paul looks at me angry while Jared just shakes his head.

Good god, he needs to get over what never happened—not like I strung him along.
