"Good Morning sunshine..."

'Huh...?'

"Wake up its time for breakfast. Alban cooked us a meal."

I slowly grunt in annoyance thinking "Who'd wake me up  from my slumber at this time?." I shift through the bed, comepletely ignoring the soothing voice who's waking me up. Without looking at them, I threw my blanket above my head and tried drifting to sleep again.

"Gigising ka o gigising ka." I hear another familiar voice, gravving my ear even with my blanket on. "Millie... Let me wake her up okay? I promise we'll be down before the food gets cold."

("Wake up or wake up.")

"Ouch! You're pinching too hard!" I finally got out if bed, jolting my body up to face Millie... And Ike?!

"Good Morning..." He sheepishly smiled at me as he extended an arm as I took it and stood up. "Teka lang, ang sakit niyo masyado sa mata. Ako na" Millie said and slapped our intertwined hands together and instantly snatched mine.

("Hold up, y'all hurt my eyes alot. Let me do it.")

Millie, Ike and Sonny were our guests for today. Alban cooked breakfast for us, surprisingly his skills were imrpoving. During our whole meal, I could sense Alban staring at me or sparing glances at me.

I paid no mind, I knew he'd grow alot more uncomfortable against us. "Bukas na yung ball... Im not ready..." Millie froze before she could place her food in her mouth. "WALA PAKONG SHOTA JUSKO" She cried and hugged Sonny's arm as she dramatically fake cried.

("Tomorrow's the ball... Im not ready..." "I DONT HAVE A DATE PLEASE")

"Its fine, you can survuve without one. I know you can, you're an independent woman Millie." Sonny reaassured, surprised; he isnt that well with words, but somehow, he assured Millie affectingly.

Oh, yeah... I forgot, the ball's tomorrow. I stil cant wrap my finger around it. Shouldnt I be nervous and happy at the same time? But I feel gloomy and not ready for it... I still cant find a reason why.

"Oh, I forgot. Millie, Sonny and I will just go around Sentenial park. Wee wanted to hang out a bit— Ike, you wouldnt mind staying with Y/n while we're out?" Alban said as he stood up from his seat and took everyones plate to the sink. "Of course, I wouldnt mind." Ike smiled gently at me and Alban.

"Alright then, we'll head out then, in about 10 minutes." Alban said and rushed to his room.

As Sonny, Millie and Alban bid farewell it was just me and Ike and the winds blowing awkwardly. I jept down the awkwardness by just scrolling around twitter and tiktok until Ike conversed.

"Wanna watch a movie? Sonny chatted my, they'll be back by 8 or 9 PM." He said and smiled; gosh, I already know what he means by a movie. "Horror?" I nonchalantly said and didnt spare a glance at Ike.

"Yeah, any ideas what to watch?" He asked, "What about incantation" I said. "Isnt that too scary? Havent watched it but I saw some parts of the movie..." He concerningly asked. "Well, how about kingdom?" I requested. "Isnt that the kdrama? Plus, I was looking for a movie, not a series." He said.

I huffed out a puff of air as I kept thinking on what movie we should watch. "Ghibli." Ike suddenly blurts oit. My eyes sparkled at the thought. "The wind rises! Please!" I crawled on my knees as I clasp my hands together. "Alright. Wanna grab some popcorn?" Ike asked. "We have some in the cabinet." I said and prepped the couch.

As the movie went on, both me and Ike remained a good distamce from ourselves from the couch as we both watch in enterainment. I intensely stared at the TV, wondering what'll happen next. Guess what-

"You good?" I felt a warm feeling on top of my right hand as I faced Ike, trailing down his arms, he was holding my hand...

I quickly retract as I felt my face heating up. "Yeah Im totally fine! Just really curious abt whats next!" I quickly said and faced the TV once more. Momentarily, his hands brushed against mine to pick up tje remote near my hand.

"Why'd you pau-"

"Tao po, may yelo?" We heard a familiar voice and dart both of our heads towards the door. "Ate, limang piso lang dala ko." "Umayos ka nga Millie."

("Hello? Can I buy Ice cubes?""Miss, I only have five dimes with me." "Can you not Millie")

Sonny, Alban and Millie walked through the front door to see me and Ike wrapped around a blanket.

"HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH Bagong porma ba yan?" Millie laughed and clutched her stomach. "No and please, are you guys hungry?" I asked as I crawl out of the blanket, assisting them. "Dont worry, I'll cook later." Alban said and pat my head lightly as he went to his room.

On the other hand, Millie grabbed onto the hem of my shirt and kneeled down. "I DONT HAVE A BALL DATE!" She dramatically cried, once more... "Werent you teamed up with Alban?" Sonny said as he took off his coat. "I knkw but like, someone to actually date me." Millie said and whined around the floor. Right... Tomorrow night's the ball

"Keep moving and tomorrow their floor's clean." Sonny sarcastically said, "I'll have to go, its drizzling already. I dont want Mother to worry." He added and bid farewell. "Alright, we'll tell Alban." Millie said as me, Ike and Millie waved goodbye.

"Can I sleep over for tonight?" Millie asked and hugged my arm. "Of course but you didnt ask permission from your mom." I replied sheepishly. "Its fine, di naman ako mamamatay dito." Millie smiled as she walked to my room.

("Its fine, its not like I'd suddenly die here.")

"Y/n,

I turn to Ike, waiting for him to continue his sentence. "I'll be going, its almost 9 PM. Mother might be worried."

"Oh, alright. Thanksnfor staying herre with me, have a safe trip. Also, isnt it a bit risky at this time? Why not book a taxi." I said as he shook his head. "Im fime on my own." He slowly walked up to me.

"Is there anything else?-"

"I'll see you tomorrow night..."

As he held my waist and pecked a kiss on my forehead.
