Third Person Pov

It was an eventful morning at the Couffaine household.

Melody and Harmony, the adorable twin daughters of (Y/N) and Luka, were excitedly preparing for their first day of preschool.

Backpacks were packed, tiny doll-like shoes were polished, and butterflies fluttered in their stomachs.

They were practically bursting with anticipation, ready to embark on their new adventure.

However, their father Luka was not sharing in their enthusiasm.

In fact, he was feeling quite the opposite.

Luka Couffaine, the ever-loving and slightly overprotective husband, paced back and forth in the living room, a nervous energy radiating from him.

He couldn't fathom the idea of his little girls leaving the safety of their home and venturing into the unknown world of preschool.

"Luka, relax," he mumbled to himself, trying to reassure his worrying head. "They're going to have so much fun at school. They'll learn new things, make friends, and grow into smart and independent young ladies."

Luka then stopped pacing, his eyes quickly filled with worry. "But what if they get lost? Or what if they don't like their teachers? Or what if..."

He paused, his imagination running wild with the worst-case scenarios.

"Ah fuck no. No no no-"

Luka stumbled into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes and yawning- acting as if he had just woke up, and that he hasn't been overthinking for the past hour.

He caught sight of his daughters' cheerful faces.

Panic instantly washed over him like a tidal wave. "No, no, no! We can't do this!" he exclaimed dramatically, nearly knocking over a stack of pancakes that (Y/N) whipped up for them.

(Y/N) looked at her husband, eyebrows raised in confusion as she urges for him to continue. "What's wrong, Luka? Why does it look like you've seen a ghost or something?"

Luka let out an exaggerated sigh and slumped into a chair. "Preschool! It's the beginning of the end, (Y/N). Our babies are growing up too fast, and I'm not ready for this!"

Rolling her eyes at her husband, (Y/N) goes to plant a chaste kiss on the side of his head- Hoping that it would somehow ease his worries, even just for a little bit.

Luka merely grumbled incoherently, nabbing a piece of pancake and stuffing it in his mouth.

Melody and Harmony exchanged amused glances, barely containing their giggles. They found their father's antics rather amusing.

(Y/N) placed a comforting hand on Luka's shoulder. "Luka, it's just preschool. They'll have so much fun and learn new things." She cooes at him.

Luka shook his head stubbornly. "But what if they get lost? Or what if they fall off swings? What if someone steals their snacks? Theres no way in he-"

(Y/N) jabs her husband's side, glaring at him then nudges towards their twin daughters who were eagerly listening to their conversation. She was basically telling him: no foul language Infront of the kids.

Luka grumbled, then corrected himself. "Theres no way in heck, that I'm letting my babies out there." He finishes.

Melody couldn't help but chime in, her voice filled with mischief. "Daddy, what if we meet a friendly monster under the slide?"

Harmony joined in, giggling uncontrollably. "Or a squirrel with magical powers?"

Luka's eyes widened, caught between amusement and concern. "A magical squirrel? Melody, Harmony, please, let's not give your old dad any more nightmares." He sighed.

(Y/N) smiled at her husband's antics, trying to calm his fears. "Luka, they'll be fine. Preschool is a safe place, and they'll have teachers watching over them."

Then an idea struck Luka- An idea so practical in his mind that it just might work.

Luka's face brightened with a mischievous grin. "How about we homeschool them instead? We can turn our living room into a classroom! I'll be their math and music teacher, and you can teach them all about science and whatnot!"

Melody and Harmony erupted into laughter, their tiny bodies shaking with amusement. "Daddy, you can't teach us math! You get confused with numbers," Melody pointed out.

Luka feigned offense, clutching his heart dramatically. "My mathematical abilities may be questionable, but I have excellent skills in naptime management!"

His offers sounded tempting, but it wasn't enough to buy the twins' full attention.

The twins laughed even harder, their infectious laughter filling the room. Luka couldn't help but smile, his initial worries slowly fading away.

(Y/N) winked at Luka, playing along with his hilarious antics. "Luka, let's make a deal. The girls can go to preschool, and you can have extra daddy-daughter time on the weekends. We'll make it a special tradition."

Luka's eyes sparkled with joy- Without even a millisecond of hesitation, he quickly answered, "Deal! We'll have the most epic weekends ever. We'll go on adventures, build sandcastles, and have ice cream for breakfast!"

As the morning chaos settled, the Couffaine family prepared to embark on a new chapter. Luka's fears had transformed into excitement, thanks to the lighthearted laughter and love that surrounded him.

But he was still against the idea, of course- He hates preschool now with a burning passion.

He helped with getting the girls dressed, and offered to accompany them till they reach the gates of the school.

(Y/N) was a bit perplexed at Luka's sudden offer, but nonetheless, she was grateful for his help.

Although- She did remember Luka once ranting about having an important meeting today. (Y/N) merely shrugged, thinking that they had changed the schedule for the said meeting.

With a mixture of anticipation and relief, Luka hugged Melody and Harmony tightly before they headed out the door. "Have an amazing day, my little adventurers. Daddy will be waiting for you with open arms."

And as the girls skipped off to their first day of preschool, Luka couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, this whole school thing wasn't as terrifying as he had imagined.

Luka watched at they slowly disappear from his view, his nose slowly getting redder and redder as he felt his wife's comforting touch.

"There there, big fella. Are you doing alright?" The teasing tone in (Y/N)'s voice was hard to ignore, but Luka wasn't in the right state of mind to snap an amusing retort.

He sniffled, eyes turning glossy as he turns to look at his wife. "Will they come back?" Luka asked, his voice dead serious and filled with concern.

To his question, (Y/N) bursted into a buffaw of laughter. "If course they'll come back, you weirdo."

"Are you sure?"

"Definitely. Now let's go home."

"Can't we just stay here? What if they need something? Maybe I can ask the teacher if I can-"

"March, Mister!"

"Y-Yes ma'am."
