Third Person Pov

Luka Couffaine had always prided himself on being patient and understanding, especially when it came to his twin daughters, Melody and Harmony.

With their enchanting doe eyes and vibrant personalities, they were the light of his life.

However, there were days when even his unwavering patience was put to the test.

And today was one of those days.

Luka Couffaine rubbed his temples in frustration as he tried to reason with his two stubborn twin daughters, Melody and Harmony.

The sun shone brightly outside, casting a warm glow into their cozy living room. The clock on the wall ticked away, and Luka's patience wore thin.

"Come on, girls," Luka pleaded, looking at the uneaten sandwiches on their plates. "You need to eat something."

Melody, with her fiery and challenging gaze, crossed her arms and scrunched up her face in defiance. "No, Dad! We don't want sandwiches!"

Harmony, her identical sister, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, no sandwiches!"

Luka sighed, wondering how he had ended up in this predicament.

'Aww drats. Maybe I shouldn't have insisted on solo babysitting my twins. (Y/N) knows how to handle these types of situations.'

He had always heard about the stubbornness of toddlers, but he didn't realize just how challenging it could be until now.

"But you girls love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Are you really gonna say no to PB and J?" Luka tried to reason.

The twins exchanged a look before Harmony shook her head. "Not today. Sorry, Daddy."

As if their refusal to eat lunch wasn't enough, Luka had another battle to face in just a little while: naptime.

He glanced at the clock and sighed again. Afternoon naps had become a battleground lately, and he knew he was in for a tough negotiation.

A little while later, Luka led the twins to their room, hoping they would settle down for a nap.

But as soon as he tucked them into bed, the chorus of protests began.

"We're not tired, Daddy!"

"We don't want naps!"

Luka pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to quell his frustration. "Girls, you need your rest. You'll feel much better after a nap."

Melody and Harmony shook their heads simultaneously, their expressions determined. "No nap!"

Luka contemplated his options. He knew he couldn't force them to sleep, but he also knew that a nap would make the rest of the day much smoother.

'These two have my stubbornness. Curse my genetics- But I'm proud of them.'

He needed to think of a way to get them on board without making it feel like a battle of wills.

An idea dawned on him, and a mischievous grin crept onto his face.

"How about this?" he began, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper.

"If you both take a nap now, I promise that later, we can have a picnic dinner in the living room." Luka said.

The twins exchanged a glance, clearly intrigued by the idea. "A picnic dinner?" Melody asked cautiously.

Luka nodded, trying his best to look earnest. "Yep, with all your favorite foods. But only if you take a nap first."

Harmony chewed on her lower lip, contemplating the offer. "Okay, Daddy. We'll nap."

Luka tried to hide his relief. "Great! And remember, it's a secret picnic, so it's our little secret."

'Muwahahaha. Got em.'

As Luka closed the door to their room, he couldn't help but chuckle to himself. Negotiating with stubborn toddlers required creativity, that was for sure.

Now all he had to do was wait and see if the promise of a secret picnic was enough to get them to sleep.

A couple of hours later, Luka found himself tiptoeing into the living room, carrying a tray laden with the twins' favorite foods.

He had set up a cozy picnic spot on the floor, complete with cushions and blankets. The room was bathed in a warm, golden glow as the sun began to set.

The soft sound of the front door opening pulled Luka from his thoughts. He glanced at the clock and realized that (Y/N) would be returning from her walk with Hunter.

As he predicted, moments later, (Y/N) walked into the living room, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

"Hiya, Husband. How's everything been?" (Y/N) asked, setting the leash down.

Luka chuckled softly, gesturing towards the couch where Melody and Harmony lay fast asleep, their instruments nearby. "Well, let's just say it's been an eventful afternoon."

(Y/N) raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued.

Luka proceeded to tell her standoff, the negotiation and whatnot.

(Y/N) listened with amusement, her laughter blending with Luka's as he recounted the day's events.

"And there you have it," Luka concluded, a proud yet exhausted smile on his face. "I'm officially the reigning champion of bargaining stubborn princesses."

(Y/N) grinned and walked over to Luka, placing a gentle kiss on his cheek. "You certainly are, Luka."

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden hue over the room, Luka couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment.

He looked at his sleeping daughters, at the love of his life by his side, and realized that even on the most challenging days, he was incredibly lucky.
