(Cheeky Sabaton reference :D)

*THOOM!

*THOOOM!

*THOOOM!

*THUM *THUM *THUM *THUM!

Anti-aircraft guns roared as the Bismarck made for the open ocean at about 15 knots,

The port was wide and open, but going flank speed would surely be disastrous if the ship had to dodge obstacles-

-Or siren bombs.

Siren drone fighters flew at a height where it would seem like that one of them would take the main mast off.

*KREEEEE-BKOOOOM!

A bomb dropped and exploded just off of the hull, shaking the command bridge.

"I need a Damage report!" Captain Lindemann exclaimed

"Sir! No major damages have been sustained! Only shrapnel on the deck planks sir!"

The Capitan heaved a sigh of something akin to relief.

Even though the Anti-aircraft guns weren't the most impressive of any battleship, they still were successful in shooting down many sirens,

It was like shooting fish in a barrel. There were so many swarming around, akin to that of a sparse locust swarm of sorts, and if you shot randomly in the air, there was still a pretty good possibility of hitting a target, especially since they would attempt to never leave their preset formations.

Some sailors even resorted to using handheld weapons to shoot into the sky.

And despite the jet propulsion of the drones, they flew at much the same speeds of faster prop-driven fighters, so the AA guns could be calibrated to shoot at them effectively.

(Unlike the Swordfish torpedo planes historically)

With this giant umbrella of flak however, it attracted some somewhat unwanted guests.

"Herr Käpitain! There are civilians in the water! Should we slow dow-"

"Civilians?!?" The Captian roared.

The Captian immediately peered out of the command bridge towards the scene below.

Civilians and port personnel were jumping off of the docks and making a mad swim towards the Bismarck, which was still moving at speed.

The ruins of wrecked ships and burning oil turned the water into a minefield,

Dead fish and manjuus were littered throughout the water,

The twisted, burnt skeletons of what used to be cranes and trees bent to the side like spindly arms,

Smoke was everywhere.

It was clear that these people were trying to escape this hellish inferno,

But should they stop?

If they do stop, then they run the risk of being slammed by the enemy, if they keep going, everyone in the water would almost certainly die.
