OK, a few days ago, I was on Tumblr and I heard about the language app, Duolingo. Unbeknownst to me, my mother had loaded this onto our new tablet, and I have to admit, I flipped when I found out.
Why do I like this app?
•It has programs for foreigners to learn English
•When you spell something wrong(e.g., schulss instead of schluss) it doesn't fail you for the question, it tells you what your typo was and how to spell the word and passes you
•You can earn points to buy extra lessons, like flirting and idioms
•It keeps track of how many days in a row you play, how much, and when you need a refresher course, it reminds you
•you can use points to buy a classy suit/monocle/mustache mix for the owl dude, Duo, or a champagne track suit(I like the suit- class is stylin'.)
•you can use a mic function to make sure your pronunciation is correct, and there's an 'I can't use the mic right now' button for if you're in a noisy or public place
•Did I mention you can compete with other users?
My good sirs, Fion(@hetalia_chibis) and I(@SugarNSpice) are on there already and linked in, our names on there as they are on here, so if y'all sign up and want to add us, we'll be waiting. Fion is working on Italian and I, myself on German(what else?) So if you want to compete with us, let us know! We'll be looking forward to the challenge!
Also, the best part? IT'S BLOODY WELL ABSOLUTELY FREE, NO COST, NO CHARGE. It's perfect.
(Lol, I've already got the extra flirting skill in German. Awesome, ja?)
