Emma's POV

Another day at the Sheriff's station, just filling out reports for rescuing kittens from the trees and arresting Grumpy for disturbing the peace at the Rabbit Hole. I guess I shouldn't expect more living in a land of fairytale characters. Then again, we have gone through a lot of crazy things over the last 5 years with villain after villain finding their way into our peaceful town.

I walk over to the door to see what the scoreboard says for our indoor basketball hoop. Looks like David made 50 shots straights on his last shift. Time to beat his score!

As I take my shot, ready to make my 50th in a row, the door flys open. "What the hell!"

"What a pleasant way to greet your girlfriend, Ms. Swan. I feel so very loved and adored" she says with her hand to her chest feigning hurt.

I get up to go hug her, "you just killed my record. I was a shot away of tying my score with David, to then kicking his ass."

"I'm sure the citizens of Storybrooke will be very happy to see how their tax payor dollars are being spent"

She looks up and kisses me so very gently and sweetly.

"I've missed you my Queen."

"Really?" she says with her eyebrows raised. "I didn't get that feeling a few minutes ago", she slaps my chest softly.

"How else was I supposed to distract myself from the many wonderful thoughts I have of you."

"Now, why would you want to do such a thing?"

"Thinking about you makes my desire much much harder to suppress. If I continue to be so distracted, how am I going to be able to save the citizen's cats that are stuck up in the tree? Or remove Grumpy from causing yet another scene at the Rabbit Hole."

"Well, I guess you make some valid points."

"Don't I always?" I kiss her as her arms are around my neck, and grab the back of her thighs to lift her up. I sit her down on my desk. We continue our make out session until we both need to take a break for air. "You know, I still can't believe how lucky I am, to be with someone so painfully gorgeous, smart, and extraordinary."

I love seeing her blush.

"I think you've lost your mind Ms. Swan."

"Trust me, I'm crazy for sure. Crazy for you, of course." I wiggle my eyebrows.

It's a rare but beautiful occurrence to hear Regina giggle. "I never realized how incredibly cheesy you are, but this characteristic of yours could definitely be appreciated."

We begin to hear footsteps, so she gets off the desk and fixes her lipstick as I get into the chair.

"Swan! I've been trying to..." Hook says as he walks in with his head down, but then he stops talking when he notices Regina and I in the office. "Sorry, I didn't think you'd have company."

"I didn't know you were capable of 'thinking', Captain."

"It's always lovely being in your presence, your Majesty. May I have a word with Emma, alone please."

"You can get in line Guyliner, I'm here on official business. Of course you wouldn't understand the meaning of those words put together being that your business consists of drinking rum on a boat and sailing to accomplish nothing." She says rolling her eyes.

"Ms. Swan, I need all the reports completed for today by 5pm, on my office desk. Not a minute later."

"Sure thing Madam Mayor."

"I'll see you at 5pm sharp Ms Swan, not a minute later, or else there will be consequences.." With that she walks towards the exit with a little more sway in her hips to keep my attention, and surely it worked.

"So, Swan. I've been trying to get in contact with you since our last conversation. You seem to be avoiding me."

"Look, Killian. Please don't make this harder than it needs to be. I meant it when I said we aren't good together. Our relationship wasn't making me happy. I thought it could. I was really trying hard to feel happy. I went down to the underworld to save you because I care deeply about you, but that's all it is. I care for you. I'm not in love with you."

"Caring is a form of love."

"Yes, it is. But not the relationship kind of love."

"How is this so easy for you, when I've been having such a hard time trying to understand how we've come to this."

"Killian, you were just so persistent. Neal died. I didn't have anyone else. You tried very hard to be better for me. So I gave you a chance. Of course I started to like you more and more, but it still felt incomplete between us. Like we didn't fit right. But I thought maybe with time we will. It just never happened."

"Is there someone else?"

"Killian, leave it alone Just accept this."

"Who is it?"

I can see him becoming angry. "Killian, this has nothing to do with anyone else, and everything to do with my own feelings."

I take a step back, but he grabs my wrist tightly and he pulls me to him with his hook at my neck, "I know there's someone else. Up until a few days ago you were fine with spending time with me. Then all of a sudden you want to break up. WHO THE HELL IS IT, SWAN!"

I try to pull myself free and attempt to hit him with my other arm, but he ends up cutting into my free arm with his hook then holds both of my wrists over my head with his hand, pinning me against the wall. His torso pressed against me, but his legs are to the side of mine so I can't even knee him in his balls. "Killian, please. Stop, you're hurting me." I try to push him off of me, but I can't. I can feel my blood dripping down my arm.

Regina walks in looking at a file and says "Ms. Swan, I forgot to.." and her speech cuts when she looks up. "What the hell is going on here! Hook, get the hell off of her!"

"This doesn't concern you, your Majesty. This is between me and Emma. Leave."

"I said let go of her before I make you, Captain." I put up hand and get a fireball ready to throw towards him. "I'm not kidding, Pirate. Let go of her and get the hell out of here."

He pushes me back into the wall roughly and I hit my head. "This isn't over. We will have our chat." With that he walks out.

Regina watches him to make sure he leaves. Once he makes it out, she locks the door and comes running to me. "Oh my god, Emma! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, don't worry about it. I'm glad you came back in though, I don't think he would have let me off so easy."

"I'll call David to take over the rest of your shift. We're going to get your hand checked and then I'm taking you home."
