Stephlon informed the department heads and assistants that the new boss wanted to meet with them in his office. Some of them looked nervous, while others seemed resigned. A few even looked eager, hoping to make a good impression on the new boss. But Stephlon could see the anxiety in their eyes, and she knew that this meeting was going to be a difficult one.

The department heads and assistants hovered at the door, none of them willing to take the initiative and open it. They shuffled around each other, each hoping someone else would step up and knock the door. Just as the tension in the hallway reached a higher pitch, the door opened, and Stephlon appeared, herding them inside with a subtle nod of her head.

They all walked into the office in a single file, their clothes prim and proper. As soon as the last person was in and the door was closed, they all greeted the man who's stood behind the desk. He only nodded in response to their greeting.

After the pleasantries and formalities, they stood before the new boss, waiting for his instructions. But he simply stood there, slowly swinging a pendulum stand on the table.

No one spoke. The worker's cast furtive glances at each other, wondering why the boss hadn't said anything yet. Some of them quietly made light-hearted jokes that he was in a trance or too nervous to speak. They all spoke in hushed tones, making sure to keep their voices as low as possible.

Just as one of the assistants was snickering, Gunther looked up, his eyebrows raised. "Something funny?" He asked. The assistant fell silent, he wring his hands, his fingers twisting around each other, while a shiver ran down his spine at the thought of his boss' piercing gaze. Gunther's eyes scanned the crowd until they rested on Stephlon, who stood with her eyes on the floor and her hands behind her back. Satisfied that she was there and safe, Gunther turned his attention back to the crowd.

"My name is Gunther Von Reichenstein, the new owner of this resort," Gunther announced, his eyes moving from one employee to the next.

"There will be major changes in this, resort, from the smallest to the most significant. The marketing department, you should know your job."

With his gaze fixed on them, his words and piercing gaze made the  marketing department head and his assistant break out in a sweat. They looked at each other, both of them unsure of where to begin.

"The building will be renovated," the boss said, turning his gaze to the head of facilities. The facilities manager looked to his assistant, who looked just as puzzled ad he was. Neither of them knew what the boss wanted them to do, specifically.

"Food and beverage department, you are to come up with new recipes every week, and the meals must be exquisite," the boss said, his gaze fixed on Chef Damino and his assistant. He turned his attention to the other employees, his gaze conveying his message without words. They stood there, their eyes welling up with tears as he exerted his authority over them. They were beginning to wonder what kind of boss they had just gotta themselves.

"I will be screening all the current employees to ensure they are a good fit for their jobs," he said, glancing down at his Gucci watch. Then just immediately, he resumed his slow, rhythmic swinging of the pendulum.

"I will be working with Stephlon," he said, his gaze settling on her. Stephlon looked up in surprise, their eyes meeting briefly before she glanced around at the other employees, her furrowed brows and confused expression amusing Gunther, who quickly hid a small smile.

"If you have any questions or concerns, you can speak with Stephlon. If there are any new developments, you will be informed by Stephlon. Do you all understand?" He asked, crossing his arms an staring at them with a cold and domineering gaze. Even Chef Damino and Lady Louisa, the boldest and toughest amongst them, lowered their gazes and averted their eyes.

"Yes, sir," they replied in unison, their voices loud and confident. All of them stood with their backs straight, their stances strong and determined. They were determined to do their jobs well and earn the praise they deserved.

"You may go," he said, and the employees quickly filed out of the office, eager to escape his imposing presence.

"Except you, Stephlon," Gunther said, watching her slowly turn to look at him, her eyebrows in a knot, what was wrong with this man? She thought, wishing to bite his ears off. Stephlon jumped out of her thought in surprise as soon as she heard the slammed door, her greatest surprise, was how her co workers deserted her!.

As soon as the door slammed, the other employees slumped against the walls, releasing collective sigh of relief. The man had drained them, and they knew it would be a stressful time ahead, but they were determined to persevere.

As the other employees went about their business, they gossiped and observed how the department heads and assistants leaned against the walls, exhausted and demoralized. Some shook their heads, grateful that they weren't so closely associated with the new boss. Others crossed their fingers, hoping they wouldn't be next on the chopping block.

"Bloody hell, he's a right fit bloke, innit?" The head of security, David Adams smiled, his voice full of his thick British accent, and it was clear that he was impressed by the boss' appearance.

They all made their way from the boss' office to theirs, with their hands resting on the back of their necks as their blood pressure shot up. All of them agreed with Adam's words, he was too handsome to be human, he was a god!.
