Stephlon was completely engrossed in her phone, her eyes glued to the screen as she read the message over and over again. She was so focused that she didn't even hear the creaking of the door or the calls of her companion, Gunther. It was only when he walked up behind her, nuzzling his head in her neck and kissing her shoulder and neck, that she finally became aware of his presence.

The tension in Stephlon's shoulders immediately melted away as she arched her body, giving Gunther more access. Her hand instinctively moved up to his hair, tangling in the strands. However, her peace was short-lived as she felt his kisses come to an abrupt stop. Confused, she turned her head to look at Gunther, only to find that his attention was fixed on her phone screen.

With a raspy voice, he asked, "What is that?" As he took the phone from her hand, his eyes quickly scanned the message displayed on the screen. The sick amusement on his face quickly turned to anger as he read the words. Stephlon knew that his anger wasn't directed at her, but she couldn't help but feel uneasy as she watched his demeanor change.

"You are being told to leave me?" His aura was dark and destructive, his grey eyes nearly black as they glittered with with hatred and anger. The small smile that had been playing on his lips was replaced with a snarl as he muttered. His voice dripping with amusement and anger.

" Yes I am" Stephlon was tense as she stood in front of Gunther.  Without a word, she slowly took the phone from his hand and placed it face down on the table before wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning her head on his chest.

After a few moments of silence, Stephlon looked up at Gunther and smiled. She grabbed her phone and a few documents she wanted to work on, and motioned for him to follow her out of the office to grab his own belongings. Though Gunther was still processing what he had seen on her phone, he knew that he couldn't let it affect their relationship.

He was going to his answers

As they walked hand in hand to the resort, the workers couldn't help but make sly glances at them. They all knew that their new boss and the resort manager were involved in a romantic relationship, although nobody dared to ask them directly. They had all noticed the chemistry between them during the resort's opening, and it was obvious that something was going on between the two of them.

Stephlon smiled at the man who was driving, feeling grateful that he was real and beside her. She looked down at her phone and made the decision to call Matilda. She was about to press the dial button, but suddenly hesitated. Instead, she sent a text message to Matilda, informing her that she would not be coming home.

"Have you had dinner?" Stephlon asked concerned for the man sitting next to her. She watched as he shook his head saying no with a small grin spread across his face, appreciating the care that she was showing. His hand rested comfortably on his thigh while the other held the steering wheel. Stephlon couldn't help but notice the rhythmic tapping of his long fingers as he drove with ease.

With the text message sent, Stephlon allowed herself to relax. She leaned her head against the window, cherishing the coolness that engulfed her head. The calming feeling washed over her, as she took in the outside world through the glass. It was a peaceful moment, with only the sound of the car's engine breaking the silence.

Gunther couldn't help but notice that Stephlon hadn't asked him where he was taking them. The realization filled him with pride, knowing that she trusted him completely with their affairs. She understood that he always had her best interests at heart and didn't question his decisions. Of course, she still had a say in things and could refuse certain decisions, but she allowed him to take care of their affairs while still maintaining control.

In Gunther's eyes, Stephlon was a queen, and he would treat her as such for as long as he lived.

Meanwhile, as they continued their journey, Stephlon drifted into a peaceful sleep. Gunther hoped that in her dreams, she would be far away from any danger or worries.

Finally, Gunther drove them to his apartment that he had bought in Scottsdale. He had been staying in a hotel for a while, but as soon as he laid eyes on Stephlon, he knew he wanted a home for both of them. He wanted a place they could call their own, where they could feel safe and comfortable. Gunther had already prepared the apartment for this day, knowing deep down that Stephlon would eventually become a part of his life.

His heart pounded as he carefully maneuvered his sleek Mustang into the dimly lit underground parking lot of the high-rise apartment complex. The low hum of the engine came to a halt, and Gunther swiftly released his grip on the steering wheel. With an eager anticipation radiating within him, he unbuckled his seatbelt and hastened towards the passenger seat, where his beloved companion lay in peaceful slumber.

Suddenly a surge of fear and dread coursed through his veins, causing his widened eyes to glisten with a mixture of shock and horror.

Why was she bleeding?!
