Novalee POV

With our baby in my arms, I watched as Roman, the twins, Solo, Sami and Paul rehearsed their entrance for tonight's episode of Smackdown. After all, everything had to be the best quality. The camera, the lights and the sound.

No matter how many times I had heard Roman's new theme now, I still couldn't help but smile. It fit perfectly and was definitely one of my best works.

Lucian squealed in my arms when he saw his daddy. Excited, he started bouncing and kept reaching out in Roman's direction. Ro tried to stay serious, but I saw the smirk he tried to suppress when he heard his boy.

"I see the little man is as enthusiastic about business as the rest of the family. Acknowledges his dad already." said Hunter suddenly as he stepped up next to me.

"Oh definitely. I never expected it to be any other way. It's in his blood. How are the streaming numbers looking? Do you have any news for me?" I replied as I tried to hold the baby in place despite his wiggling.

"Through the roof, of course. Still the most searched and streamed theme." he said.

"Good, that's good. People like it. Always good to hear." I replied just as the guys arrived in the ring.

The producer let them know that was it. That's why we could go to them.

Lucian immediately tried to crawl to his daddy when I put him on the ring apron, but at 5 months old, that didn't quite work yet. But that didn't stop him from scooting as fast as he could.

"Hi my boy! Did you take good care of Mommy?" asked Roman as he sat down with him so Lucian could pull himself into his lap.

Our little one was such a strong boy. And a little overachiever. I wondered what he would surprise me with next.

"Oh he only has eyes for you." I replied with a laugh.

"So Nono, I hear you're leaving for vacation later tonight. Mister Man's first time, huh?" said Jimmy as he helped me into the ring.

I sat down cross-legged next to my men before answering his question.

"Yes, it is. What better way than to spend our wedding anniversary with our baby in paradise. This is the true island of relevancy for us, Jimbo." I said just as Lucian tried to eat Roman's nose.

Ro's loud laughter echoed through the arena as did the baby's babbling and squealing. And the rest of us couldn't help but join in.

"Oh I have a feeling you'll be back with a new baby," Jimmy then replied, chuckling.

"All in its own time, Jimmy. You're starting to sound like my mother," I said.

"Don't worry buddy... Sooner or later you'll get a brother or sister to play with." Roman said to his son, then winked at me.

"They'll probably only do it when you're nowhere nearby, Uce. Because if you interrupt them making out again, Nono will get you killed at some point, won't she?" added Jey.

*****

I was standing in the bathroom in our cottage, braiding my hair into two French braids, when I saw in the mirror how Roman stepped behind me with Lucian in his arms.

The little man was chewing on Nes ear as usual. I had to smile every time he did that, because he loved that bunny as much as I did. I guess that's how we came full circle.

"Hi my boys. I'll be done in a minute. And then we can go to the beach. Did he finish his meal?" I asked as I turned to them and put my arms around them.

"Of course he did. He has a big appetite. You look great by the way." said Roman as he looked at me all lovey-dovey.

"Thank you, my gorgeous man." I replied and gave him a loving kiss.

"I love you." I then said as I lifted my hand to place it against his cheek.

"I love you too, Shortcake." he then said.

He tried to kiss me again, but Lucian was faster. He let go of Nes and grabbed my face with both of his small hands and gave me a big smooch.

"Pretty jealous, huh?" Roman then said with a low chuckle.

"Kinda." I joined in his laughter.

I changed my clothes and then we headed to the beach. Since it was October, the temperatures were very pleasant. It wasn't boiling hot, but not so cold that you would be freezing.

Lucian enjoyed the time with both of us to the fullest. He loved to cuddle alternately with me or with Roman. He was so relaxed as he looked out at the sea and watched the waves. The next time we would come here, he will already be able to walk. I could imagine him chasing the seagulls then. Or how he will build sand castles with Ro.

After a while it was time for his nap. But since he slept almost everywhere it was no problem. We lay together on the big daybed in the cabana which gave us a lot of shade. Lucian lay on his daddy's chest and quickly fell asleep while Ro stroked his back.

I heard him let out a relaxed sigh before he dozed off too. I gave him a kiss on the forehead before I also gave the baby a kiss on the head. I was about to snuggle up to them when I saw a seagull land nearby.

Curious, she tilted her head to the side and looked at me. Immediately I asked myself whether it could be that it was the same seagull as at that time.

It was so long ago. So much had changed since I had come here alone. Thinking back, I realized that I had seen her that very night before I asked Roman to visit me here. And the rest... well, the rest was history.

Roman had once promised me that I would find my one. As fate would have it, he was right. Even though he didn't know that he was talking about himself.

Although it took us a long time to find our way to each other, it was perfect. And who knows... Maybe we would never have taken the leap if one of those things hadn't happened. Not that it mattered now. Because we were together. We were in love, married, and had the most perfect little boy. And who's to say... perhaps we really did take home another souvenir.
